Great toothbrush
They're not as shiny and flashy as bigger brand name toothbrushes, and there's precious little (read: none) variety in brush head size, but I've come to really appreciate Dr. Collins Perio toothbrushes. I'm not particularly OCD about my teeth, but I have a very specific brushing routine with very specific preferences, and before I discovered this toothbrush, I always went for a small brush head with firm bristles because I felt like soft bristles never really got my teeth clean. I always had a little bit of gum irritation, but no inflammation; nothing I ever worried about. Dr. Collins Perio toothbrushes, on the other hand, all have the same size brush head (large) with soft bristles. I was not immediately a fan, but a friend gave me one, insisting that I try it, and lo and behold, I am now a convert. I don't find the brush head size particularly cumbersome, and the soft, very fine bristles do an excellent job of cleaning along the gum line and in the crevices between teeth and along caps. Even better, they don't irritate my gums at all. I've never had any bleeding along the gum line with these, whereas a little spotting used to be an almost daily occurrence. Of course, like any other toothbrush, they're no better than your own thoroughness when brushing, but if you're looking for a good toothbrush that's easy on sensitive mouths but still gets the job done, I definitely recommend Dr. Collins Perio toothbrushes.

The Holy Grail of toothbrushes. Period.
Save your mouth and save your health! I have Lyme disease (advanced before was diagnosed) and one of terrible side effects turned out to be a 'wealth' of unusual dental issues - shifting teeth, bleeding gums, high tooth sensitivity, fragile teeth, dull tooth color, odd plague.. Anyone who enjoyed having healthy gums and teeth before getting sick with this terrible affliction will know what I'm talking about - it takes a terrible toll on your bones and tissues and much damage happens in a fairly short term - receding gums, beginning of periodontal disease (or rather, mistaken for), bleeding gums, discolored teeth, shifting, etc. I've found excellent means of reducing damage to my jaw bones to stop bizarre tooth shifts - 8-10g powdered vitamin C daily, Vicco Vajradanti gum powder (a true God send), using kaolin clay with a few drops of thieves oil (or true cinnamon, oregano, black seed oil, etc for variety) to brush and absolutely NO commercial toothpaste with glycerin or sls in it. Still - toothbrush remained one elusive piece of the puzzle until now. What an absolute joy this brush turned out to be! In spite of still being under treatment my teeth are regaining their old appearance, gums are starting to grow back and (as my dentist pointed out) teeth are becoming whiter and more opaque. This marvelous brush is so fine that it allows me to brush and massage the healing substances into my teeth and gums for a very long time and get the full benefit (filled in tubules, remineralized teeth, stimulated gums, highly polished surfaces) without any damage. So delighted that I'm gifting one to my dentist who also practices similar dental hygiene and is always on the lookout for better tools for her patients. For those who are already struggling to stop existing damage and possibly reverse some if it this inexpensive brush is an absolutely essential item.

Better Checkup - has helped my Periodontal disease!
My background: been struggle with periodontal disease for nearly 10 years. I've extremely anal retentive about my home care. I used to use electric tooth brush twice a day, floss, waterpik, listerine, etc. My checkups for a long time were like groundhod day. Excessive bleeding, excessive plaque, and no improvement on my condition. After searching Amazon reviews, I decided to give this tooth brush a try. Upon first use, I could not believe how soft the bristles were and good it felt on my gums! They really feel good and I can get a more thorough clean than I did with my Oral B. While this toothbrush is great, I think the more important change I've made is taking probiotics to help keep the bacteria down in my mouth. I actually take 3 probiotics daily: 1) An ingestible probiotic. I'll defer from listing it, since I'm not convinced yet that it's a great product. 2) An AM probiotic that disolves in my mouth after I brush & floss my teeth. I use PRO-Dental: Probiotics for Oral & Dental Health - Targets Bad Breath at its Source - Top Oral Probiotic Strains Including S. salivarius BLIS K12 & BLIS M18 - Sugar Free (Chewable) - 45 Day Supply 3) A PM probiotic after brushing & flossing called G.U.M. Periobalance Lastly, I've stopped using traditional flouride toothpaste and now use TheraNeem Toothpowder, Mint, 40 Gram Honestly, my teeth have not felt this clean in years. During my last visit, they confirmed my gums are less inflamed, less bleeding and overall they look healthier.

great toothbrush -- super soft
I highly recommend this toothbrush if you have super sensitive gums. For some reason, my gums get scratched and sore if I use a regular "soft" toothbrush that you can buy in the grocery store. I don't know what I'd do without the Perio toothbrush. It is super soft and gentle on your gums but still somehow gets your teeth clean. I don't understand how it does it, but it does it. And the tapered tips on the bristles sort of floss your teeth. The first time I felt the sensation, the only word I could use to describe it was "revolutionary". It really is quite the toothbrush. The only thing I don't like about it is that it doesn NOT last longer than regular toothbrushes. If anything the Perio brushes seem to wear out a little sooner than the regular ones. But, that is not a major issue compared with the benefits I get from the Perio toothbrushes. If these brushes were commonly sold in stores like other well known toothbrush brands, nearly everyone would be using them.
