We got this because our old skinny, space-saving grater was suchhh a pain to get clean, filled up too quickly, and had a plastic handle we didn't want in the dishwasher because microplastics. This thing is great - the rubber thing at the bottom comes off easily and goes back on again if you want non-skid. We throw it in the dishwasher and it comes out clean. And the slicer has become surprisingly useful for grilled cheese, quesadillas, and nachos.

Sturdy. Shreds really well. I love that the side has 3 cutters to speed up the slicing of onions and such.

Fine replacement for old, worn-out grater.

My 53 year old grater, all stainless and made in USA, bit the dust. This one, though from China is just as good except that the rubber strip around the bottom keeps popping off and may just aswell be discarted. Very good!

Very good at grating anything!

For a lot of grating jobs (zucchini and cabbage, for example), I like to lay the grater on its side because it makes it easier to control the item you're grating (because you're working with gravity rather than against it, I guess, not sure why, it's just easier, to me at least). I tore up my last box grater doing that because eventually the handle came loose. I'm pretty sure that's not going to happen to this one. It's solid and well-made.Some people say it's not sharp enough. Seems sharp enough to me. I grated some turnips fresh out of the garden and it worked fine with hardly any pressure.A great buy on an essential and versatile kitchen item.
