Brenthaven ProStyle II- XF Shoulder Case (2235102)

I bought this item for my wife's 15.4" MacBook Pro. It is a perfect fit. The outside measurements are roughly 17" wide X 5" thick X 14" high, not counting the soft handles. It has ample protective paddling for the laptop plus numerous, well organized compartments for carrying papers, folders, pens, pencils, ruler, etc. There is also more then enough space for toting a battery charger, a bottle of water, your lunch or any other similarly sized items that you would like to have on hand. In other words, this is not only handy for transporting a 15.4" laptop, but easily can carry a wide assortment of other items that any decent sized attache case could carry. While my wife prefers to carry this case by its soft handles, the included shoulder strap is a nice option to have if you want your hands free for other things. It's canvas like (but not canvas) material is soft and pliant and easily expands as you fill it up. My impression is that it will be quite durable. Overall, though I was a little apprehensive when ordering it, I am totally satisfied with the quality and usefulness of this computer case.

My company bought me this bag and the construction is wonderful. Padding, zippers, materials are all great. But from the very beginning, the handle wouldn't stay extended, so when I walk along pulling it, it rolls fast, catches up with me, collapses the handle some, and then turns and wiggles sideways trying to pull me! Or I pause to open a door, release the handle, and the handle collapses, so I have to bend over to grab it again. I reported this to my company who kindly ordered me another one. This one is not quite as bad but seems to have the beginnings of the same problem. Will it be just as bad as the first one in a week? Time will tell. Overall, I'm not happy, and reluctant to tell my company again that it isn't working. Oh one more thing too: I'm not exceptionally tall at 5'8", but the handle seems to be made for a shorter person. When I pull the case, it has to be a little too close to me to maintain an optimum angle for pulling, which makes it more likely to roll too close, begin to collapse the handle,...

This is a great case; as a solutions consultant I've been relentlessly looking for a case that could carry a lot of gear, offer some semblance of organizational space, be checkpoint friendly and not look absolutely awful when facing clients; I've now spent a week with this case and here is what I know: This case offers a dedicated laptop compartment, offers a unique design to be checkpoint friendly (read, no more laptop removal for TSA) enough space for extra mice, hotspot, tablet, bluetooth keyboard, all the cords, laptop stands, pen loops, padfolios, documents, and even space for some snacks and business cards. Heck, there is even a quick access pocket for phones, or other things. For me it was between this case and the equivalent Tumi. For about half the cost, I got a better warranty and it turns out it's a pretty versatile not unattractive bag. It's worth knowing that I have a 14 inch windows based machine, even though these bags seem to be often associated with Macs; no issues there. I will happily let anyone who wants to know, how it holds up. For now, I can say this has a place for all my stuff and that matters to me. Fits under the seat in front of me even in steerage class too. bonus.

I can fit one laptop, one iPad, several folders of documents, and all kind of loose accessaries (keys, pens, mouse, cables, charger, hotspot, phone, snack,... etc) This is a all-around good bag that you can take everything you need for doing work on the go. It is compact, good looking, and sturdy. Good investment.

I bought this bag for my husband after his other one from this company wore out after ten years . I wanted to buy the exact bag but no longer available. The good news is my husband likes this bag almost as much! The handles aren’t leather and that is the only thing. But in saying that he really is happy, he said it has so much room. He’s very pleased. I never right reviews but wanted to because the reason I bought it was so many other people were positive and it’s true, great computer bag and traveling bag.

Very high quality and well thought out. One nice feature - the zipper that allows you to "butterfly" the bag (allowing you to go through airport security without removing your laptop) is nicely hidden. The bag is very light, the material is rich looking and durable, and the shoulder strap is well padded and comfortable. Very happy with my decision to buy this and not one of those name brands which were nearly twice as expensive.

I travel a fair amount for work, both domestic and international, and have shopped bags around quite a bit. Overall I feel this is a very solid bag and a great value for the money. Very well made, good looking, and with ample room for laptop, extra battery and charger, iPad, headphones, notepad, accessories, etc. It has a very comfortable shoulder strap and a couple of nice zipper pouches on the front of the bag which make accessing boarding passes, passports, and other random stuff easy. The X-ray friendly butterfly zipper also makes getting through TSA easier when a TSA Precheck line is not available. The only drawback I can see is that, while the two main zippers appear to be of more heavy-duty construction, the remaining three exterior compartment zippers are of lighter construction. I just got the bag and can't say if this will be an issue, but it's something I did notice as I had hoped for larger zipper tabs all the way around. Just a personal preference. Provided they hold up this probably won't be an issue.

The bag feels well constructed with sturdy zippers and solid handles/shoulder strap. There are many compartments and pockets to carry accessories. Great purchase

I am VERY picky about laptop cases. Being a consultant on the move I always want all my IT needs in one place. This case is the latest Brenthaven I have bought (in 15 years I have had 3 - the last one just wore out). Every time Brenthaven have demonstrated that they know what the person on the road needs with pockets, storage pouches and folders. The quality is superb. The overall case is a little heavy but you need that to get the resilience. It fits my MBP, notebooks, pens, chargers for laptop and iPhone, connectors, keys, spars discs, everything. I can even (just) get an overnight change of clothes and toiletries for a one-day trip! Overall a must have if you travel a lot for work.

I had a great Brenthaven laptop bag which suited me very well but the zip failed and I thought it was time to replace. Apple no longer sells these, so i tried Amazon. Unfortunately Amazon only sells via the US, I I had to wait for it to be shipped here. I just received it after waiting 3 weeks and was very disappointed. It just looks like a £30 laptop bag and not the £120 which I had paid. Sending back now.

A perfect fit for a 15" Mac Book Pro. High quality and has good clips where the shoulder strap connects. Comparatively slimline considering the quantity of pockets and compartments. Wide and comfortable handles. I particularly like the ability to unzip it in half so you don't have to take the computer out at airports.
