hi, the motion detector stopped working for one of the lights in the first week of use. Who can I contact about this?

I would call Amazon. They probably would send you a new one.

Can it be plugged in upside-down? My outlet is under a light switch so I have to install with the light at the bottom. Prongs need to be equal size.

Mine works fine when plugged in upside down because both prongs are the same width, rather than the hot (power) prong being wider. Mine is slightly different than yours (search Amazon for B07KMDJPG1) and was bought in 2019, but it was made by the same manufacturer. I'd be surprised if yours (B08HMZ1Y1W) is any different.

When its on the ON mode will it stay on during the day or just at night?
