Q: Why are you not selling the old strips??? Why do you only sell combo packs of Keto and Glucose???

Their 60 + 60 strips are $60. So a person testing for Glucose every day would spend $365 in strips only. Not to say some of these strips are sometimes not working and have to repeat the test. I think this is too expensive. What if I just want Glucose ones?

Urine strips were designed primarily to monitor diabetic ketones in order to help prevent diabetics from unknowingly getting into ketoacidosis. When first transitioning to ketosis, sometimes the body will make excess acetoacetate ketones, which will show up in your urine and on urine-strip tests. The blood-ketone test your blood for ketone levels. It’s by far the most accurate test for measuring your level of ketosis. The blood meter measures beta-hydroxybutyrate, a ketone body synthesized in the liver, and the most active form of ketones in your blood. Beta-hydroxybutyrate is the main ketone your body utilizes in ketosis and therefore is the most important one to measure. The number that registers on your blood meter when you test reflects the ketone level in your body, right then and there. Consider it your fuel tank. Glucose readings on mine are 50-60% higher than my Livongo or Onetouch, which are within 5-10 points always. Calibration solution is a waste of time, it's just how these home meters are designed. As long as they fall in the FDA loose guidelines (a 50+ point swing) they call it good and take your money.
