Great product.
So easy to install. This replaced ours that burned out. It took my son about 10 minutes to unscrew the old one and screw the new one into the existing collar. Delivered next day and great price too.

Read this for installation!
I swear by Insinkerator garbage disposals, and when I bought a new home that didn't have any garbage disposal I knew what I wanted. They have always been easy to install, but this time it was different...When getting this unit DO NOT REMOVE the rubber piece that allows the unit to be mounted to the sink. The installation instructions does NOT tell you that this piece must be on the unit BEFORE lifting up to the connection, nor does the installation photos show it as attached. This creates LOTS of confusion. In previous installations I have always mounted the disposal WITHOUT the rubber piece attached and would slip in into the drain hole of the sink from above AFTER installation, but no more. So, I took the large rubber piece OFF of the unit to be able to install it from above once the unit is installed. BIG MISTAKE. By doing this there was no way to secure the unit with the "lower mounting ring" to the bottom of the sink because the "lower mounting ring" just slips off of the unit and will NOT hold the unit up against the sink. Before on earlier models the "lower mounting ring" was permanently attached to the unit, but no longer. The ONLY way to now mount these units is to have the rubber hole gasket attached to the unit and mount it from UNDER the sink. The rubber drain gasket (the part with like five expandable "fingers" to keep large objects from entering the disposal) must now be used from UNDER THE SINK and MOUNTED ON THE UNIT for the units "lower mounting ring" to stay attached to the unit.I found out the hard way after running into this issue and going to Home Depot to buy a new unit thinking this one was defective, only to find that the Home Depot unit mounted exactly the same way! Still, the installation instructions does NOT make this clear, and actually shows the units being mounted WITHOUT the rubber gasket. So, I went back to this unit, reattached the rubber gasket to the throat of the disposal, and whalaa it held the lower mounting ring in place and I was able to complete the installation. I nearly returned this unit as defective, and am glad I didn't. Instead I returned the more expensive unit back to Home Depot. This issue cost me time and frustration.ATTENTION INSINKERATOR: FIX YOUR INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS and clear this up for everyone. Even a plumber online advised that the "lower mounting ring" must be permanently attached to the unit and if it wasn't there was no fixing it and a new unit would be needed. Even the professionals are unaware of this change.

Good disposer and good value
My plumber installed when he put my new sink in. Pleased with lower noise level and function. I am careful about not putting everything in the disposal. Occasionally I put some ice in and run to keep blades in shape but too much ice may cause excessive vibration and loosen fittings so don’t get crazy with that!

30 min job, Same brand, fit with already installed hardware!
Purchased my house brand new. The 1/2 horsepower disposal lasted 10 years then just died. This is the same brand except I went 3/4 horsepower. Super easy system, twist the ring, it came right out. New one just had to unplug dishwasher plug, hook it to ring, twist ring, connect pipes. Works perfect. Not any louder than original.
