Beginning Buttercream Decorating Set, 20-Piece Cake Decorating Kit

First time user of a piping bag, and this kit made it easy. It even came with instructions on how to achieve different shapes. So far, I have only used it for whipped cream, but I'm sure it will be even easier with icing. The bag was easy fill and held a lot. I love the variety of tips and how many you get. It's a perfect starter kit!

My toddler daughter was recently diagnosed with type 1 diabetes and celiac disease and she loves checking out the sweets at the supermarkets. I felt compelled to learn to decorate some home baked safe sweets so she wouldn’t feel left out at birthday parties, etc. The Wilton kit is a no frills (just comes in a box with minimal instructions) but for the price it was attractive. It was straight forward to use and it’s actually made me interested in learning more about decorating. The tips clean well in the dishwasher (top rack in a baby dish washer basket). There are a lot of cheap no name brands in the search for the set but Wilton has been around forever and I trusted that they would provide quality material for the kit and I wasn’t disappointed. I would recommend and I hope to learn more techniques soon.

The tips are great but the number of piping bags that come in the pack is really small

Loved, loved this little cheapo set. I’m in no way a professional baker, but I decided to try a fancy design on my cupcake frosting. Fingers crossed. This kit is simple and easy to master, you’ll be a doing those Food Network cupcakes on your first try. Cupcakes were a big hit (it helps if they taste good too), and I got rave reviews on my skills. I don't bake a lot. Somehow in my last move, I lost my container of piping supplies. Never fear, Wilton is here! This package was perfect. The price was right, the piping heads are perfect for cupcakes and cakes. And I have a love affair with their disposable piping bags. They are durable and easy to use. Its a great set for anyone.

These don't come with the connector piece, but it's not necessary to have it. We used them to frost Christmas cutout cookies with buttercream frosting. They were easy to fill and use to decorate - even my 5-year-old niece had no problem squeezing the frosting out onto her cookies. I chose this set because of how many different tips were included, and that worked out really well. They make very pretty designs. I'm not a good decorator and grew up just spreading the buttercream on with a knife, so this was a big step up for me - my cookies never looked better! Looking forward to practicing more with them.

Basic icing bag and tips. Worked as expected. Would recommend getting the icing tip connectors for a better seal.

Bought this set for my daughter's cupcake project. This kit comes with everything to get her started with decorating cupcakes. You only need to supply the cupcakes and the frosting. She didn't do anything fancy like multiple colors so it worked fine. You can use other types of disposable bags besides Wilton. Just make sure they are good quality. One thing she did mention is if the frosting,buttercream, icing is too thick or coarse, some of the tips may not work well.
