The Golden standard of poison ivy care.
This is the golden standard of poison ivy rash care. Use it multiple times a day on a poison rash and you'll notice results in just one day. Itching completely gone and blisters will get exfoliated and start popping. There are a bunch of other brands out there (like cutters) but this one works the quickest. Cannot thank this product enough. Cuts a 2 week rash down to 4 days or so - and no more itching!I wish it were cheaper so i could use it more liberally as a pre-emptive wash. At the current price its too expensive to use every single time I come back from yard work. I just use dishsoap as a pre-emptive wash if I know i'm gonna be around poison ivy. If a rash appears I'll use the tecnu scrub. Often goes on sale for 12-13 dollars, stock up when its cheap :)

Loved this scrub for poison ivy rash, highly recommend!
Every year I get an awful poison ivy rash when I go in my yard in the summer. A nurse that I work with recommended this Tecnu scrub, stating all the arborists use this when working near poison ivy. This is a wonderful product. It has a light clean fresh scent. It immediately feels good when applied. It removes any residual poison ivy oils and prevents the rash from spreading. It decreases itch and helps speed up healing. It worked so well that I purchased a second one to have on hand. I loved this Tecnu scrub and highly recommend.

Kaboom, cleared my ivy without medication
I suppose it works ? (Edited at bottom)I’m the guy that knows that gasoline or brake cleaning spray is the kill-all for anything that ails you. But circumstances this year changed my mind. I had one of those Kerosine rocket heaters in the garage for the winter that, as we all know, runs on diesel fuel. And I admit I wasn’t aware that poison ivy is one of 3 things that can survive all year long as well as the end of days like taxes and roaches. Poison ivy oil is forever. Trust me.So I was doing stupid things in the forest for days on end in the cold and knew I had poison ivy. It’s cold,I’m in the garage which was heated by the diesel fuel heater that looks like a jet engine. And those heaters turn off when the temp gets high enough. So the heaters off, I’m almost naked and covered in gasoline which I smartly toweled off. I hit some spots with brake cleaner spray which is all over the place and I’m holding my breath from the gas and spray fumes until I dry off. My normal poison ivy treatment routine. But, Those rocket heaters have a distinct start up sequence that you’ll never forget. It’s like 2 seconds long. You hear the fan go on, some weird thrushing sound and then BOOM, ignition. So after that mishap i tried this ointment. It makes the itching go away for hours but it really really really irritates the skin. Like, you’ll get massive welts and oozing from existing rashes for sure and then they’ll die down. I’ve been using it for 4 days and I don’t think it’s spreading and it’s possibly helping. I am hopeful. This stuff has sand or rocks in it which I hope helps remove the oils and not spread the oil. Reviews say it worksEDIT: this works. Without any medication or steroids I actually got rid of my poison ivy and now find myself trying to locate this at a better price. It’s priced accordingly but I wish I could get more for the same price. I use this on my entire body now any time I’m in the woods and that’s like 2x a week. I’m also trying their “original” version which doesn’t have the glass fragments inside it but without that skin cutting feeling I’m afraid it’s not as effective. I’m cautiously switching to the original version. In my opinion, if you get any part of your body that has death-ivy on you…this will remove it.I wish they made this in tablet form cause I’d eat it. It works.

This works (with Catagel)!
This, combined with the Catagel, are the only things that stopped my extreme case of poison ivy. I tried everything else for literally weeks. I started to feel relief after a day and using it for less than a week has stopped the spread and significantly healed the many patches. I had tried washing with Palmolive figuring it strips oil off of wildlife, right? But nothing worked until I used this daily with the Catagel 2x/day. I will keep this on hand to use in the future.

A Must-Have for Poison Ivy Relief!
Tecnu is a lifesaver! After coming into contact with poison ivy while gardening, I used Tecnu right away and it made a huge difference. It’s easy to apply, rinses off cleanly, and really helps stop the rash from spreading. I’ve used other products in the past, but this one works the best for quickly removing the oils and easing irritation. Definitely a must-have to keep on hand during outdoor season!

Poison Ivy relief
I get poison ivy every year. Before I found Tecnu I would have to take prescription medications to get rid of it. With Tecnu products I no longer have to go to the doctor for a prescription. It helps get rid of the oils that are on your skin and helps also to control the itching. Great products.

If you are allergic to poison ivy, keep Tecnu and Tecnu Extreme on hand!
Poison ivy is my kryptonite, and I ALWAYS keep Tecnu and Tecnu Extreme on hand in case of a suspected exposure. Tecnu Extreme is more expensive, but it can counteract a rash that has advanced beyond the initial stages. Note: one of these is meant to be applied to WET skin, and the other to DRY skin, so read the instructions and follow as directed. These products work by stripping the plant's oil - urushiol - out of your skin, so timeliness is critical; the sooner you act, the better your chance of avoiding a full-blown rash. If I even THINk I might have brushed against poison ivy, I scrub down with Tecnu.
