Bought this to go above our cottage front door to replace old light. Looks great with good brightness and sensor range. Was easy to install but definitely not weatherproof, first lot of rain and no longer worked after only 2months - not impressed at all.

Have had a pair of these installed at our front porch. The manufacturing quality is very good, and the design shows attention to detail. For example, both the wall screws and the small screws holding the lamps to the wall plate are fitted with seals. A very nice touch: the concealed adjustment screws are revealed by rotating the PIR sensor cover. Both the on-time after triggering and the ambient 'lux' - the light level required to disable triggering - are adjustable. (I assume that the same control is used for the dawn-to-dusk option.) Dawn-to-dusk (as opposed to motion triggering) is enabled by switching the lamps on and of twice in rapid succession. (To be able to do this, you will need a switch wired in to the lighting circuit, of course.) The lamps generate an attractive light which is directed downwards, rather than blinding the visitor. Although a contemporary design, they don't look out of place on our period cottage. It would have been nice to be able to adjust the motion sensitivity: although rated at 8m, I found that I need to be about 4m away before the lamps are triggered.

I put ours up yesterday and we really like it. My front door is by the road in a cul-de-sac which is busier with foot traffic than cars. The sensor detects us as we approach the door and not people walking past. The light is bright and direct on our door. The unit is well made and looks smart and modern. The only niggle I have is that the inlet for the cable isn't in the middle of the backplate so I had to chisel some cement out in order to centralise the light. Anyway, overall, very happy and worth the price paid.

A bit fiddly to install but doable! Not sure how well the sensor os working, sometimes it takes a couple of arm waves to make it work.
