EMPIRE EM71.8 Professional True Blue Magnetic Box Level, 8"

This level is exceptionally well-designed and offers remarkable functionality. Unlike many other levels that rely on adhesive rubber bases for magnetism, this one utilizes rare earth magnets, ensuring durability in various environments. The color scheme is superior to the green standard, enhancing readability and brightness. The intuitive interface and user-friendly design make it an excellent tool with exceptional capabilities.

This is a daily use for me as a scaffold worker. The magnets are good quality and the slim design is great for saving room on my tool belt. The open spaces in the middle make it easy to apply a tool tether for working at heights/erecting hanging scaffolds.

Very impressive, finely machined and accurate. A little pricey but well worth it. I really like that the bubble vials can be seen no matter what orientation you place the level in. Kinda critical...

(I use this level quite a bit, and I like it. But I have to say I find the built-in magnets kind of annoying. I know working with steel framing it is useful to have magnets in the level, but for my purposes all it does is pick up every metal screw, nail, and anything else that might be around. I know that dropping a magnet can reduce its strength, but that procedure might not be so wise considering this is a level. I just wish they were not there. Other than that it is a great little level.) Had the Stabila for a good 25 years and I have no idea where it went. Was going to buy another and got sticker shock. So I did what I always do, and that is scour the internet reading reviews. People like Stabila, for good reason. But quite a few liked this torpedo level as well. Made in the USA is a nice added perk. Very reasonably priced so I ordered one. I mostly use it for tile work, but I just grabbed it yesterday to check a windowsill as I was installing some windows. For checking level I think it is very good. I'm not all that thrilled for checking plumb. The vial is so small I don't trust that I have things perfect, so I stick with just using it for level. It does that really well. Considering for plumb I have 2', 4' 6' and 6'8" levels, plus a laser, I really don't need the little one for checking it. I think it is a bargain in comparison to the competition out there. And the first thing I ever do with any level is check where the bubble is, twirl it, and the bubble should be exactly the same distance in the other direction. I even do that for levels I have dropped too many times and can't adjust. Take the two readings and the average should be perfect. Nice level at a really good price.

Great level with a durable frame and strong magnets. A little more expensive than some other levels, the quality far exceeds the lower priced items i would recommend this item.

Great quality level, I’m a plumber so I need to use levels a lot and this one is very durable. I’ve dropped it like 8 times already and it still works and looks fine. Highly recommend!

The level is Saturday and looks like it will hold up. The magnets are good, but not super strong. The blue vials seem strange at first but work just as well as the green ones.
