Great, seamless operation and easy install
A necessary addition to a blink system if two separate arm-able zones are required. Works seamlessly and exceptionally easy to install.

Decent alternative to a subscription
I got the sync module 2 after having my blink doorbell and blink mini for over a year. Previously had the blink subscription but didn’t particularly want to pay for another year, so purchased this instead as a money saving option. It was super easy to set up, and is fairly neat and compact in size. If you want the app to save clips, you need to plug a USB into the module. Doesn’t need to be a fancy or special USB, if you have an old one hiding in a drawer somewhere, that’ll do. The module only needs power which can be via plug socket or USB cable (both included in the box) and can be put anywhere in the home as long as it’s got wifi connection. I can now do live view on the doorbell which I couldn’t do before on the blink subscription as my doorbell runs on battery not mains. So that’s a nice bonus. Hilariously, blink/amazon have added a delay from you clicking on a clip in the app to watch to when it loads, claiming it takes longer to load from USB which is honestly ridiculous in this day and age - I imagine they’ve done this to try and get you to use the cloud annual subscription instead which is very naughty of them. I’m not bothered about the clip loading delay but can see how it might frustrate people, especially if you’ve gone from cloud storage (via the subscription) to local storage (via the module). My only negative is that the module has annoyingly bright blue and green lights on them which is so unnecessary. If you set it up in a room where someone with light sensitivity sleeps, you may want to keep it upside down or get some of those stickers that block the lights.

Problems with old system after updating a router
IF like me you've changed your home router and now find you can't re-connect to Blink with the new one ( A common problem ). Then, if you've got the mk1 version, the only way round it I found was to buy a mk2 module. It worked thankfully, otherwise it would have meant the whole system would have been redundant. Not too happy about shelling out another £35ish, but so far so good. With hindsight I wouldn't use Blink again, but with the Module, 3 cameras and a doorbell, it not exactly cheap to just consign to the scrapheap. Hope this helps some of you out there. I know there's a lot of flak going around because of this....... PS. IF the mk 2 didn't work, I'd have been able to return it and get my money back. A gamble, but it paid off for me

Great module.
Great module to use as local storage rather than paying for cloud storage. Works well. Easy to use. Great design. Great value for money.

simple to set up
I bought this as I had the standard sync module for my doorbell which meant I needed to subscribe. I wanted to be able to have the ability to save clips. It has a shorter wire and its a micro usb wire so couldn't just swap it out with the other sync module. Was easy to set up and stick a usb drive into. Can access my clips on the app and delete them as needed. remember to swap the storage in the app to local storage and format the usb drive and its as simple as that.

When is a security system not a security system (update)
(update) After a lot of back and forth with Blink support originally telling me the 2nd sync module was out of warranty (it wasn't) so all they could suggest was to buy another one (er, no), they finally accepted it was still in warranty and strangely, after weeks of implying the problem was at my end they agreed that the logs showed a technical fault with the module. So they sent out a replacement - which when it arrived was actually a refurbished module. Sadly, that didn't work with exactly the same issue as previously. So its clear that Blink have a serious issue with the sync 2 module as evidenced by all the complaints with the same issue on various social platforms. I gave the Blink system my best shot but its time to throw in the towel - so have ordered another make from elsewhere and will bin my now redundant Blink system altogether. Its worth noting that with the 2 year warranty Amazon/Blink say that is also the expected life span of the sync 2 module. I did get 2 years out of it and i'm sure it would have been fine for longer, but as the sync module is integral to both the outdoor camera working at all and the doorbell working fully we''ll never know. When the outdoor cameras rely completely on the sync module. Had the sync module for just over 2 years. Occasionally 'drops out' but generally worked fine until last week, when it automatically 'updated' and stopped connecting to wifi/blink servers. Been dealing with Blink support every day for a week. While responsive, all they do is get you to go through the list of troubleshooting steps, repeatedly- which don't work. So you end up going round in circles. Had a 2nd spare sync module brand new out of the box (still under warranty) and got exactly same issue as with this one - both fail at the same point when connecting to Blink severs. Reinstalled the doorbell and indoor mini camera, which don't need the sync module, and they connect to the Blink servers fine. So its clear the issues lie with the sync module. Blink support wont accept its the sync module(s) and seem to have stopped responding. This is a well documented issue on the internet with many people having it and getting no joy from Blink. As I can't get a sync module to work that automatically renders my outside camera useless as it doesn't work without a functioning sync module. Buyer beware!

This is the right stuff!!
Yup im impressed, i didnt think these things were as good as they are. Honestly, once you set them up and get the instructions sorted out, then ur in business. And no you dont need a subscription. Thats the point of the module, but you will need a min of the blink memory usb stick. I got the blink 64gb. Worked straight out of the block.. no hassle!
