I thought that this was a great camera to use for raspberry pi projects. I created a motion sensing camera with this that when someone walks by it will snap a picture of them. This camera works great for taking pictures. I was also impressed with the picture quality that it gives. I would say that one draw back of it would have to be that you need external light since it does not do very well in low lit applications.

This is actually quite a reasonably priced camera module. It's quite basic, but it does exactly what it says it will do at a reasonable price. The lens gives a pretty decently wide field of view, and it worked out of the box with OBS, so I would imagine it would work well with pretty much any other similar software. As a simple camera module, it's absolutely fine. I have a more expensive module (it cost over £100, way more than the £40 being asked for this) and while I would say that the image quality of this is not as good as that one (especially when the light gets a little lower), this is perfectly acceptable for most basic applications.

The lens gives a usefully wide field of view, and can be swapped for other M12 lenses if needed. Image quality is good. Works out of the box with supported resolutions.

Due to COVID-19, web cams are priced 3X their normal price and my application for a camera is OctoPi so I can keep an eye on my 3D printer, I don't need sound. So I opted for this camera. Horrible quality. Also, OctoPi isn't able to reduce the frame rate and I had to add `additional_brokenfps_usb_devices=("32e4:9230")` to `/boot/octopi.txt` in order to get it to work at all. The picture has green, horizontal lines that flash in and out at random places. Ugh. This rating form asks me to score its "Sheerness". Not sure what that is, so, average, I guess. The circuit board is pretty thin though, so, I guess 4 stars for "Thickness", lol. On the plus side, I tested it on Mac and on Linux and in both cases, no additional drivers were required. The fisheye lens adds a lot of distortion, but in my case, it allows me to see nearly the whole print bed, so, that's a plus. I literally would not use this camera for any other application and, TBH, once the pandemic passes and WebCam prices return to something resembling sanity, I'll likely replace this.
