My 2 year old immediately loved this and played with it for quite a long time just in our bed, at the beach it was a huge success. Amazing quality and made to play with for hours!

These are so cute and fun not only for children but for adults too! We had a blast making cupcakes with our toddler on the beach! We love the durability and the colors! These are definitely worth the money!

This toy has been a blessing for our vacation with granddaughters. In our beach house, the bathtub and of course the beach. WHAT fun to watch them and oh my.... the imagination they use while playing. Love this!

Like most of the Melissa and Doug products I've purchased, the quality on this is good. The plastic is thick and durable and brightly colored. I was a little worried about the baking cups breaking at the hinges but that hasn't happened yet though they have been played with heavily. The molds don't work so great and this is actually my kids's least favorite of the three sets we purchased, but the blue net bag that comes with the set is great. We purchased three Melissa & Doug Sunny Patch Seaside sets: the Speck Seahorse Sand Ice Cream Set, the Sidekicks Sand Baking Set, and the Sidekicks Sand Cupcake Set to take on our 3 week vacation to the Pacific Northwest. The kids played with them almost every day at the beach and/or in the bath tub. Great quality. No broken pieces the entire trip or since we've returned home. Lots of creative play options. I was able to nest the ice cream set pieces inside of the baking set bucket, and store all of the smaller pieces from all three sets along with the cupcake pan in the netted carrier that comes with the cupcake set. The end result was that I was able to get all three sets and the hand full of play dishes (plates, cups, utensils) I brought entirely into one bucket and the net carrier. VERY convenient for storage in the car and carrying to/from the beach. If you were to only pick ONE, I would recommend the baking set as it's pieces seemed to be most universally versatile. But the net that comes with this set is nice to have and this set compliments the others well. This toy was a big hit on our beach vacation. Sand cupcakes was the favorite for the week and kept my niece busy for hours in the sun and sand.

These are wonderful sand toys. I was looking for new, fun sand toys for my 3 toddlers. I thought these might be different, but they have proven even better than I expected. I have 3 year old twins and a 2 year old. I showed the 3 year olds how to pack the sand into the mold to make them work and they caught on immediately. My 2 year old isn't as focused on how to make these, she's having fun just filling the cupcake bottoms with sand. The sand cupcakes really are adorable. Each top has a different shape, with cute little accents. My kiddos love the star the most, which has a little face etched in. There is also a turtle, a fish and a crab. We don't use the bottom mold that opens, as ours seem to just fall apart with that one, but that does not detract from this toy at all. Without that part, there are 4 bottoms, 4 tops and the tray. Loads of fun! Trust me, if this one sand toy set can keep 3 toddlers busy for an hour a day, it's a winner. My little ones would be out in the sandbox more if they could!
