Works on LS engine
Used this kit to pull a Fluidampr harmonic balancer (crank pulley) off of an Chevy LS engine. It had the correct 3/8-24 bolts I needed to thread into the pulley. It was working really hard to get that pulley off, but it did it. The main puller screw was very warm afterward, so make sure lubricate the main screw threads. I did NOT use an impact gun because I was trying to be gentle and not ruin the tool. Did the job and the price was right! Will keep in my toolbox for future needs.

Great little puller, did what I needed.
Great little puller, did what I needed. Probably not super heavy duty but worked perfectly for my application.

Great product and an even better company!
I ordered this kit in 2022. It was used successfully several times. Last week 9/25, I stripped the threads on the yoke trying to pull a flywheel. I have written maybe 2 reviews in my life. I am writing this out of respect, awe, and a heart-felt thank you for Thorstone. I contacted them inquiring about their warranty. I was asked to provide an order number and a picture of the yoke. I did so, and asked for a replacement or to sell me just the yoke. The next day I was asked if I wanted a refund or a replacement. I answered a replacement. Thorstone informed me I would receive a new one in 5-7 days. That was 2 days ago. Today a whole new set was delivered! No charge! In this day and age that is rare. I think any company that stands behind their product and takes care of their customers like they did to me... deserves a shout out, a thank you, and recognition.

Decent Puller and Got the Job Done
Summary: I am working on a 1955 Chevy 235 and needed to remove the harmonic balancer. I needed something quick and cheap so I picked this up, seeing that I could get it next day. Below are some of the pros and cons I found on my first use. Pros: - Convenience: Being able to order and receive it the next day was great! - Case: The case was surprisingly nice. I'm used to the cases almost falling apart when I receive them at this price point. - Selection of bolts: I like how this has a variety of bolts to choose from, so this should work with a wide variety of applications and vehicles. In my case, it had the bolts to work on a '55 Chevy harmonic balancer - It worked: If you do not need anything very high quality (maybe a use here and there), this is a good choice. I'll most likely replace it in time, but for now, this one is a good buy. Cons: - Bolts are not labeled: I wish the bolts were labeled. I am not the best at judging bolt thread pitches and sizes, so this was a "try this and see if it works" scenario. - Quality: It feels cheap, especially the bolts. It held up this time, and it may a few more times, but I noticed the threads for the actual puller seemed to bind up when running it down. It could be just a bur from when it was cut, but with no pressure on it, it was fairly difficult to run down by hand. - Price: The price is about on par with prices from other automotive vendors with similar accessories. I actually found one cheaper from a local auto store. Conclusion: In my case, this worked out great. The price is comparable to what you would find in the stores, so it really comes down to if you want to go out and purchase one in store or order online. The quality of the actual tool was alright, but the bolts seemed very cheap. I also would improve this set by labeling the bolts. That would help a bunch. Overall, I am happy with the purchase and will continue to use it when I need it, tough I may end up purchasing a higher priced, better quality puller if I end up doing more work like this. In short, I would recommend this for someone needing something here and there.

Too Weak for 97 Wrangler's Steering Wheel
I own a 97 Jeep Wrangler (TJ) that needed the Clock Spring replaced. In order to do that, I needed to pull the steering wheel off. I bought this kit with the intentions of doing that....and it failed... The large black bolt, that is in the center of the tool, that you rotate with a wrench to push the steering wheel away from the steering column just rotated in place when force was needed. I don't think the bolt and the hole had the same size threads or it was just extremely weak metal. I ended up going to an Auto Repair Store to buy a small kit to remove my steering wheel. It worked on the first try. I was iffy about buying this due to complaints about the threads, but I thought I would give it a shot. I ended up returning it as defective the day that I attempted to use it.

Poor quality but works
It was able to pull the flywheel off but I had to ruin the threads to do so. When I went to tighten the middle bolt to start pulling it would just spin. I pointed it at an angle and that got it off, but at the cost of the threads.
