Good replacement for paper Aeropress filters
Works great as a replacement for paper filters for my Aeropress using pre-ground espresso from Lavazza. Minute amount of grind push through, but not enough to be noticeable. Coffee tasted the same as the using the paper filter. Very easy to clean as well by just rinsing and gently rubbing the screen between my fingers.

This and a paper filter is a nice cup.
Changing the filter type you use with a Aeropress will change the taste of your coffee. And its fun to see how the different mesh types affect the taste and the cloudiness of the cup. These are a pretty tight mesh that does not let thru a lot of sediment and gives you a brighter taste on lighter roasts I find. I also like using this with a paper filter to help keep it clean. It does mute the flavor a bit but I find its worth it for time saved before I leave the house in the morning.

Little/No Grit!
I was really surprised at how well this filter works with my Aeropress. Having gotten to the bottom of the stack of my paper filters that came with my Aeropress, I wanted to find something that caused less waste and found these. I tend to favor the brew method of inserting the plunger into the top of the brewing chamber and inverting it, using the plunger part as the stand. I then add my coffee (2 heaping Aeropress scoops is usually the max I use for easier plunging), fill the chamber with 175F water, mix it around and let it steep for about 30 seconds, then place this reusable filter on top of the chamber opening (it sits right on top without falling in), and screw on the plastic filter part. After that, I flip the whole thing right-side-up and place it on my mug or blender bottle, then plunge (with a hand on each side of the plunger, hooking my fingers on the top, and resting my chin on the plunger works best for me). The first time I used it, I was shocked that there was no coffee grit at the bottom of my cup at all...the paper filters had always left some grit. Here are some additional pros/cons: Pros: - Reusable - Easy to clean (flick the filter to get rid of excess grounds, then rinse) - Little or no coffee ground grit (way less than the paper filters) Cons: - Inside binding edge of the rim isn't flush with the mesh part, so flicking the grounds off can leave digs in fingernails - Even less crema than the paper filters - You have to be careful when ejecting the coffee grounds into the trash so you don't lose the filter (more of an Aeropress design issue than a filter issue, IMO)

Don’t Hesitate …Just Buy
Got my filters yesterday and I’ve pressed four large cups of coffee and the metal filters are great. Using both the conventional and the inverted brew methods deliver a great cup of joe. Clean up is easy just a quick rinse and your done. The included plastic case makes transport of the metal filters and some paper filters perfect.

Not as good as the paper filters
Works well enough, but not as well as the paper filters. I like to pull the plunger out and pour more water into the press for a second cup. Sometimes the paper filter does not stay put and then I have a mess. So, I bought this to hold the paper filters in better. As a complete replacement for the paper filters these are just ok. The water pours through quickly and brews less, and there is more oil residue. My wife does not care for the more oily taste, so I never use the mesh filter without the paper filter. Cleanup is not a big deal, some grains stick to the mesh, but easily wipes off.

No more buying paper filters!
I read the reviews from others saying it made the coffee taste bitter. I really like the brew. So much so I was going to buy an espresso maker, but I didn't because these filters let the taste come thru more. There is that debate about paper filters vs metal filters. That paper filters don't raise cholesterol but metal filters do in some studies. Specifically that there is something that paper filters out that something that raises LDL Cholesterol. Again some studies, My ldl has not changed using metal filters. To sum up, The quality was good, delivery was fast, and I prefer the taste. AND its the cheapest I could find for the Aeropress.

This filter is too small for the aeropress and as a result the water and grounds flow straight through into your cup without you pressing on the plunger. Big mess, massive waste.

I've been using metal mesh filters for years now for my Aeropress. After a while (we're talking years!) the tend to clog up with coffee residue that won't come off again. So I bought this as a replacement. They just work and I'm happy for the next decade or so, as it's a pack of two :)

The coffee drips through

DON’T BUY!!! I would never buy this again. The paper filter is much much better. This doesn’t slow the water AT ALL. Most of the pour goes straight through. If you care about your coffee, the strength of your coffee, brew times, consistency, etc. This is not for a coffee lover.

Paper replacement its not maybe the offical screen works better, it also changes the taste of my coffee, I'll keep these around for a backup if I'm out of paper
