301UH Next Gen 6.5in High Carbon S.S. Full Tang Fixed Blade Knife

I like the knife, it’s sharp and pretty well balanced and comfortable to hold. I have small hands (I’m a petite woman) and it’s the perfect size for me. It could have been sharper, it did not pass the paper test. The sheath is a problem though, which may not be a big deal to some. It slides out easily when snapped in and the belt loop is too big, making a one handed draw difficult. It’s a waste of animal skin and that bothers me.

I use it as an edc knife for those rougher tasks and saves dinging my more expensive premium knives. The sheath is perfectly serviceable. As far as the belt loop, I wet the end of loop and squeeze together till it dries,letting sheath lay flat against hip. At the price there're an excellent budget choice. Only negative is the same for all budget and alot of nicer knives, inconsistent edge angles and sharpness. I reprofile them and sharpen them up, much better performance. Will pick up a few more. Schrade does a good job with their 7cr17 steel. My daily folder is usually a BM, Spyderco, ZT/KER etc....something with premium or super steel andam happy with the 7cr17, I just hone it end at end of day, takes a minute, back to phonebook paper slicey.

What can I say I really like this little knife, it feels sturdy, it is sharp enough for most tasks but your can make it really really sharp even if it is an economical steel. It has a decent sheath but careful knife retention is not very good but you can make a sheath for it or tweak the original one. The handles/scales even if they are synthetic they look nice and feel nice. The size is perfect for edc and it is a full tang knife. The price is good on this little blade and it has decent ergonomics. Great little beater knife that you can carry everyday.
