Lodge SCRBRSH Scrub Brush, 10-Inch

Love this lodge brush for my cast iron. It is the perfect fit to sit behind my sink. It's about the same length as the blue scotch scrubber that you put liquid dish soap in the handle. The bristles were stiffer than I thought they would be but still soft to the skin touch. I haven't had to use anything heavier on my cast iron as this does just about everything so far. It's lightweight and holds up well.

I use this brush specifically for cleaning carbon steel, cast iron and stainless steel cookware immediately after cooking.All my pans are well seasoned, so normally cleaning them up right after cooking does not require a lot of scraping or force.With some warm water, this brush has just the right amount of stiffness to remove 99% of anything stuck on the pan.It is not fully stiff like a metal or bathtub nylon scrub brush, but I didn't want that amount of stiffness anyway as that would probably just scrape the seasoning right off the pan.The stiffness and material of these bristles are just perfect for my use case.The bristles themselves clean up very easily with a little soap and water and the brush looks virtually brand new after every use.Seems to be durable and high quality and the wooden handle is attractive.Very pleased with this brush and it is highly recommended.

I like the design of this scrub brush. It feels balanced in the hand, and the handle is long and sturdy enough that you feel you can really scrub with the brush -- it's not delicate or easy to break. These are all "pros" in my mind. Important ones.Another thing I like is the reasonable price. Often, one sees only "cutsie" accessories that look flimsy and have a higher price than it seems they should. This brush gives me the sense that I'm getting my money's worth. Plus, as an Amazon Prime member, I am confident that customer service issues, if they should arise, will be taken care of properly. Again, that's an important plus in my book.The only "con" or concern I have is whether the bristles will hold up, long term. They are pretty stout now, when the brush is new, but they look like brush bristles I've used in the past that, once they get wet and are used a few times, begin to sag or fall out. I don't know if these bristles are natural or man-made, but in either case, I believe that drying the brush properly is a KEY to having a useful tool that lasts a good long time.I recommend that the manufacturer provides instructions about how to clean and dry the brush; otherwise, it may end up in a couple of months with bristles that have lost their rigidity or sharpness, and lean over or fall out. This would spell the end of usefulness, and that is just not necessary. This is not a criticism or review of the manufacturer, just a suggestion about how to make a good product even more valuable.Overall, I give the Lodge Scrub Brush 4 stars because it looks hefty and appears to have real value as a cleaning tool for cast iron. (It can also be used for many other cleaning jobs that require a strong brush.) I didn't give it 5 stars because I think the addition of the weird name "SCRBRSH" in the product title is confusing and unnecessary. You may think this is a joke, but I'm serious -- why cloud a simple name with what looks like a warehouse stock description? That does the consumer no good.

Great scrubber for cleaning skillets and cast iron items. Durable, easy to use, good size.

I bought mine November 2023. I originally thought it was flimsy and it didn’t seem like a durable brush or that it would last that long. But here I am, and I’m still using the same one. I cook with my cast iron about every other day. All I use to clean with it is some kosher salt & water. Works perfect!

This brush is a must have for easily cleaning your cast iron pans. It’s made extremely well.

I have had this brush for 3 days and on day 3 I could not use it. I used the brush last night to wash out my cast iron skillet and I set it upside down on the edge of the sink so any water can drip into the sink. This morning I got up to find it in pieces. I don't understand why it broke apart just sitting there. It looks like it was used as a hammer but I have not dropped it or banged it since it arrived.
