Superior Pump 91014 1/4 HP Thermoplastic Utility Pump

I use this pump to recirculate white vinegar through the tubing of a tankless water heater. It works well with good volume flow, and it fits nicely in the 5 gallon solution bucket.

This works be good once it's plugged up it pumps the water out fast and it's quiet you won't hear it running plus it fits right in the spot where I need it. To make things better its worth the price.

I bought this pump to empty out my 10,000 gallons swimming pool even though it doesn't design for it. However, it has a pumping performance that can handle the job without any issues. It pumped out my pool at 5 1/2 ft deep faster than I thought. The price is good. It's cost as much as renting a submersible pump for a day at Home Depot or Hertz Rental, but it's yours to keep to use it again and again. The thermoplastic construction is robust and rust proof. The electrical cord is a bit short. It would be safer if the cord is twice as long. Also, it's hard to find a suitable adaptor at reasonable price to hook up the blue back-wash hose to empty out the pool. I was able to make it happened with plastic pipe fittings and a hose clamp I found at Ace Hardware. Overall, I have happy with it.

I use this pump to flush my tankless gas water heater. It is perfect hp. Just sit in a 5 gallon bucket with hoses going from pump to heater and from heater to bucket for recirc. Perfect flow to remove the scale. Strong housing and cord protection

I've used this pump to drain my 19,000 gallon pool twice. Once with a 3/4" hose and once with a 2" hose. It is much faster with a wide hose. The first time I connected a 125 ft garden hose (3/4 inch). It took a little less than 3 days to drain the whole pool. The second time, I drained it, I wanted to go faster, and I considered buying a bigger pump with a 2 inch hose. (The different pump would have been about $120 by itself, and the hose about $40 to $50.) To save money I decided to try this pump again with a wider hose. With a 110 ft 2 inch wide lay flat discharge ( or sometimes called backwash ) hose, draining the pool took about 13 hours, which was plenty fast. ( That's about 1400 gph. ) To connect the 2 inch hose to the 1 inch npt connector on the pump I used a 1 inch fpt to 1 inch pvc pipe adapter and a 1 inch pvc pipe to 1.5 inch pvc adapter. The 2 inch hose was a little big for the 1.5 inch pvc adapter, but a 2 inch pvc adapter was too big for the hose. I just clamped it as best as I could. (Some water sprayed out a bit, but it only only slowed it down a bit.) Net result, if you have a long way that you have to pump, investing in a wider hose will let this pump work at closer to its maximum rated flow.

Probably the best pump I ever bought. I’ve let this thing run dry for hours on more than one occasion. It’s never let me down in three years of use. I used a window screen wrapped around the bottom as an extra filter when pumping out yard after torrential rains. The best bang for your buck without a doubt.

The pump works great! Use it transfer water from rain barrel to water tank.

It has a million disclaimers in the instructions about what not to use it for. I did use it for one of the purposes. Pump worked great, happy with it
