Inspiron 3880 Desktop Computer - Intel Core i5 10th Gen, 12GB Memory, 512GB Solid State Drive, Windows 10 Pro, 2 Year On-Site (Latest Model) - Black

I bought this computer for my prom store and it performs very well. It was easy to set up and I am not a techy person. It is quiet and the size is perfect for me to hide under my pay station. We use it to ring up sales, print receipts and print documents. We have a software that is installed and runs well with the internet. Very happy with my purchase.

I knew before I bought this machine that it didn't have a CD drive. I already had a portable DVD/CD drive that it didn't factor into the decision making process. I needed a computer similar to the machines we use at work and this matched the criteria. I also have a Lenovo ThinkPad but wanted a desktop computer. The set up took no time once I connected to the internet and signed into my Microsoft One Drive account it literally set itself up. I have a wireless mouse and keyboard, however it did come with a hard wired mouse and keyboard that I used in migrating data from my ThinkPad to my Dell. I great product and would recommend to anyone who wants a basic home office computer.

I like the Small size of this Mini tower and how light weight it is. I have a really old Dell full size tower that does not meet the requirements for windows 11 and has been having issues so i ordered this as a replacement. I choose to purchase a Condition: Used at a large discount from New that was rated Very Good - 256GB SSD + 1TB HDD, Windows 10 Pro installed on SSD and the HDD for data storage. Windows 11 Ready! It arrived in Original box and looked New but The Video did not display properly when connected to my Display. It displayed fine during the BIOS boot process but once into windows it was bad. I contacted Dell Tech support and they had me run some tests and decided I needed to reload the operating system back to the Original Windows 10 Home that Dell originally sold it with. This process was performed by connecting to Dells Server and the original system Image was restored and Video was displayed properly. This system was Originally sold with a 14 month Warranty from Dell in Oct 2021 so I have about 6 months of Coverage from Dell Instead of the Two years advertised with the New systems sold by Amazon. On the Plus side this system included a DVD reader/writer and had a Generation 11 Intel I5 processor. The seller helped me get Windows 10 Pro Back after the Dell factory reload restored it to the Home version. Windows Auto Update then upgraded it to windows 11 pro version. Dell had loaded a old Video Driver and the video would not come back on after the system went into sleep mode. I spent way too much time working with Dell support and they remoted into the Computer to try and fix it but the problem remained. They wanted me to do another system restore and reload but I held off and asked the seller about this. He advised i get the latest Video driver from Intel so I did and it fixed the problem. This is proving to be a decent Desktop computer for using the Internet and doing Basic computer Tasks. This is not a system that is designed for Computer Gaming. It works Good for me however as I play a Android Mobil Game and have installed Bluestacks Android emulator program on this computer. It works really good for that and much better than my Older Dell did.

I purchased 3 of these in total for a few different clients. All 3 are very happy with it due to being fast on boot, programs open fast and handles all their typical needs that most average pc users need. Office, Email, videos, photos. It’s just an all around good snappy machine.

I was amazed at how fast and easy it was to get this PC up and running. Apparently it was able to determine that I use Windows OneDrive, so that when I powered it up, it automatically installed all of my data, my wallpaper and desktop. I had fully expected to spend several days restoring all of this from my external data backup drives, but it wasn't necessary. As far as daily operation is concerned, this PC is very fast at loading applications and data files.

I bought this computer in October 2020 for school work. I had no issues with it at all until about December of 2021. I went to turn it on one day and it just wouldn’t turn on. I check all connections and power, no issues with any of it. I even used an ohm meter to check continuity. No issues. I changed outlets, power strips, and surge protector. No change. Still wouldn’t power on. The LED indicator on the back of the computer was flashing green for a moment so there’s at least power from the cable to the computer. One day after a few weeks, I tried to turn it on and it came right on. No problem. Not sure but I called Dell and they were little to no help. I spoke to a guy at work in IT and he said it could be the power source in the computer but beyond that, no help. I do t know much about putting computers together. Took to computer repair and they said nothing was wrong with it. It worked for another year with no issues and then died again in October 2023. It has been lightly used in its very short life. Literally only for writing papers and browsing online school assignments. Nobody can fix it apparently. Pretty disappointed to get what was probably 80-100 hours of use total out of a 700 dollar computer. Lame

It is small in size,takes up less room.

It’s a good computer but I feel like there’s a bit of false advertising here. You look up the model 3880 and they have an optical drive, even in the manual. There’s no mention that there isn’t a DVD drive in the description, and we had to go through setting up the whole computer and getting it customized before we realized we don’t have one! Not like I’m going to return/exchange it now..... please do a better job describing your products especially for those of us who aren’t very technically “versed” dell...or amazon... whoever did this.
