Work great
Works well with our gas camping stove. We are happy with how it made our coffee. It took about 10 mins to brew hot coffee. Metal is thin so I would be careful with packing.

True camping review!
Light weight but feels cheep, Its made from Aluminum after all! Used it for a camping weekend and it made awesome coffee and kept its heat decently well. It is easy to clean and fits perfectly on a small one or 2 burner camping stove. With the plastic handle, I didnt want to test it on the fire grating. Over all it is a great percalator, the reason I am giving it 4 stars is because the little plastic piece on the lid just does not stay on. It worked fine the first day using it but after that, it was difficult keeping it on to be able to remove the lid if needed. We pushed it on (not rough, we didnt want to break it), twisted it on etc... but nothing seemed to want to work to keep it on completly and each time we opened the lid, it seemed to work less and less to get it to stay.

Good percolator
I use one of these camping. Works good and is easy to clean, holds enough for your morning cofee. One thing to note is that the handle will melt if too much heat is applied. As the higher end camp stoves tend to do. So keep your heat down.

Great for camping
Worked great used on propane stove with very little discoloration on the bottom I did use disk filters for easier cleanup

Works in a pinch
The Primula Today Percolator isn’t the best quality compared to others I’ve used. No matter how carefully I set it up, some of the coffee grounds still end up in the pot, which makes the coffee gritty. The flavor also isn’t as smooth or rich as percolators I’ve had in the past. It works in a pinch, but I was a little disappointed.

Great , but ..
Great little coffee pot so far. I’ve read some of the other reviews, and I think some might not understand how it works. Here’s what I’ve found.Fill the water up to the first set of pickup holes(the holes that go out to the pour spout).I turn my heat on medium-high (electric range stove) until it starts to percolate ( you'll see the water coming up into the clear plastic ball on the lid ), then I adjust the heat lower to med-low and allow to percolate for 12-15 mins. I then turn the heat off and allow it to set for another 3-4 mins.(THE TRICK IS , YOU DONT WANT THE WATER TO BOIL!)I’ve found 3 & 1/2 tbsp to 4 tbsp makes a good pot of coffee , 5 gets a little to stout for me, but adjust to your preference.Things to remember. If you reduce the heat too much , it will stop percolating, but leaving it on high , you take a risk of burning the coffee and it tasting bitter. There truly isn’t , in my opinion , a better pot of coffee than percolated.Don’t use finely ground coffee.I’ve seen the reviews about the bottom burning out. I use mine on an electric range stove and so far it’s doing great , I can see where an open flame might damage This pot if it’s too hot. It’s made of fairly thin aluminum. It’s perfect for an electric range though. A gas range would prob work too if turned to low heat, but I haven’t tried it.Things to remember. Too much water , it won’t percolate. Too little water , it has trouble percolating and veil spill out. Too much heat is bad.Unlike drip coffee makers which send the water through the grounds one time , percolators send the water through the grounds as long as it’s percolating which makes a rich flavored coffee. It’s a little bit of work (not too much) , but very worth it.Once you find your perfect settings of heat, water and coffee amount , for this price , I don’t think you'll be disappointed, and it’s a breeze to make a delicious pot of coffee.

Surprisingly awesome!
Why did you pick this product vs others?:I really like this percolator! I used it during camping. It’s very easy to use, I just watched the video. I put it on top of a wood burner stove and next thing you know it’s percolating on the top clear knob. It’s made of aluminum and seems thin and light but it’s surprisingly durable. I think it’s a great deal for the price.Great for camping or during power outage.
