We have all Hue lights in our house and love the ecosystem, so adding these strip lights under our floating TV stand was a natural choice. They pair seamlessly with our existing setup, and we use the Hue Sync Box to control the lights, syncing them with whatever is on the TV when we watch movies. These strip lights add a lot to the overall ambiance and make the viewing experience more immersive. The lights were easy to set up and pair with the rest of our system, and I also found them simple to cut down to the desired size. The length is great for most applications, providing enough coverage for our needs. However, there are a few downsides. When running at full brightness, the strip lights can get a little warm, which can cause the adhesive on the back to become gummy. Over time, this can make the lights detach from where they’re stuck. Also, the price is quite high for what they are. While I understand it's a premium product, I feel the cost is a bit steep. Despite these minor issues, I’m overall very happy with them and have several of these strip lights throughout the house. They integrate perfectly into the Hue ecosystem and truly enhance the lighting in our home.

This Philips Hue light strip is a pretty great item if you're already built into the Hue ecosystem. The 6-foot length is versatile enough for most applications - I've used it behind my TV and under cabinets with good results. The color options are excellent with millions of colors to choose from, and the dimming works smoothly through the app. The included mounts make installation easy and let you bend it around corners without issues. The voice control integration with Alexa and Google Assistant works seamlessly, and the dynamic light effects in the app are fun to play with for mood lighting. The main thing to note is that you'll get the most out of this if you have a Hue Bridge - it unlocks automations and remote control. Without it, functionality is more limited. Setup is straightforward, and the build quality feels solid. If you're already invested in the Hue system, this is an easy recommendation for adding ambient lighting anywhere in your home.

Pros . Out of the box plug and play, this this is easy to set up . If you don’t not have the hue hub make sure to down load the Bluetooth version of the app. This thing is crazy bright and super easy to use from the app . Found my self not even turning on my main lights . Does not get hot even to the touch Not for the cons The adhesive sucks honestly I ended up going to Home Depot and got a 3/4 Velcro and using that to stick it to the tv and have had zero issues.

The light strip is an amazing and bright addition to my room, wonderful colors and ambience, but the problem I faced was the connections to the extension doesn't have a firm grip to attach and hold, you'll find yourself needing to tape it or glue it together. Another problem is since I had the 6' base for two years the adhesive does not last long. After a couple of months it lost its stickiness, so I believe the 3' extensions will soon loose it too, it's best to take off the old tape and apply stronger adhesive double sided tape.

Philips Hue is worth the money. Govee/Lifx are good alternatives but they just don't have as good of color accuracy. If you plan to bend these, say around a pegboard, buy the litcessory v4 connectors. Cut at the ✂️ marking and attach.

I've bought thousands of dollars worth of Hue products. They're great. The problem is, about 50% of the items I receive from Amazon are obviously used. Sometimes it's just some missing packaging, but other times it's more annoying: the adhesive is missing, a few LEDs are dead, or it's missing parts. Do yourself a favor and buy these straight from Philips. The Amazon inventory seems to be half returned and damaged.

The product is phenomenal and well worth the purchase. The lightstrip was detected by the Hue app and my Smart Hub, but I lights wouldn't light up even though the Hue app said that they were on. I had unfortunately plugged the lightstrip backwards into its power supply. The plug easily inserts backwards and this caused some initial frustration. Philips could fix this problem by making the plug function either way like a USB type C. A great product that I would highly recommend as it is completely hidden on the trim inside my closet but still does an awesome job at lighting everything.

I have bought this product multiple times. The first light strip I bought works marvelously. I cut the one strip into three and installed it under my monitor riser to light my keyboard surface and provide some ambiance: it looks wonderful and I've never had an issue with this set. However, my next purchase, I only cut once and it stopped working immediately. Checked that I cut on the line: I did. Looked online for help. I shaved the bit again with the sharpest possible knife and reconnected it. It needs to setup all again - no problem, its actually easy to setup with the app and it responds. Then it stops responding again. Did I get a bad egg? I gave it a chance and returned this set and reordered it again. I followed all of the exact same steps. I am having the exact same issue all over again. All of the same help available online is "Make sure you cut on the line" or "Make sure you use a sharp cutting tool". I did all that I was supposed to and it still fails to work. Why would I review a particular product for only 1 star? I love the design, I love the strength of the light, I love the cohesion with my Apple Home system of lights, the adhesive is hit and miss. If I cannot use the product as intended, then it is a faulty product. If I have had the same issue with multiple different sets of the same product, then the product is faulty. I can't say otherwise despite having a working set. This trends negatively and I am ultimately unhappy with the product.
