Why do some reviews say these are fakes?

Not sure the one I received works kept ice all day, says yeti and all yeti papers came with it

can you use soda in tumbler?

Yes soda can be used. I have found that any consumable liquid will stay either hot or cold in this tumbler for many hours in all temperatures. one time I left the yeti full of ice and water in my truck all day in 97 degree heat and when I returned the water was cold.

How tall is it without the lid?

It is about 7 5/8 inches without the lid from bottom to top, the lid is very small (it mostly goes down in to the cup) and only adds another 1/8 inch when on.

Can I get my Yeti bottle monogramed?

I don't see why not! I gave this as a gift to someone and thought the same thing...how nice it would be to monogramed
