Speed Reading: Learn to Read a 200+ Page Book in 1 Hour Review: Exceptional 5 Stars Gold - What a golden find, I have been struggling with reading and learning for a long long long time. Having read many books on speed reading, they all sound the same. They are literally all the same giving the exact same information of skim, scan, and so forth. This is different and absolutely gold. It's the only speed reading book that discusses how the eyes and mind work to read. If eyes are the key to reading, you would think more books would talk about that but they don't. You will learn some fascinating things about your eyes. It changed everything about how I approaching reading. It is not only about reading, but how to understand what you read and remember more of what you read. Great addition for parents, teachers, students and anyone who loves to read and wants to read more and take in more of what they read :) Review: Wow - Book was really long (unless you included the practice of speed reading through it , wink wink) Amazing info Especially the part about about the speed reading techniques Almost like you just learned a superpower There’s so much to unpack . But yeah . I think it’s an essential book , great time saver . Love it . Love it . Love it

Speed reading 101
Speeding reading 101. Introduce to some speed reading techniques and the reasoning behind those techniques, which is great. But speed reading itself isn't magic, it takes efforts and mindfulness. The title is exaggerated that is why I take off one star.

Practical and immediately useful lessons
I found the instruction to be clear, easy to read, and practical. I found myself using the teachings immediately. The sections on retaining more of what you read are gems.

Useful information
I liked how easy the techniques are made to be understood, and the fact that there are also practice drills after each technique is explained. As a person who reads quite rarely, doing all the drills and everything the author suggested took me a while more than I expected (I do confess I also skipped some drills), but that's mainly me and my lack of focus. I can't give this book less than 5/5. Some techniques are VERY useful for "beginner" readers (those who read less or are not reading in their mother tongue), and some of the stuff seemed useful even for the most skillful and avid readers. Highly recommend

Works
I have read my share of speed reading material, and this one shines for a number of reasons. For starters, it's extremely well written. It is easy to read, neatly organized, and straight to the point without any fluff or filler. More importantly, the book presents unique and innovative ideas like Space Reading, which I had never heard or seen anywhere before. Never considered looking at the blank space between words instead of the actual words, but I tried it and amazingly it worked. This trick alone tripled my speed, and continues to improve Luckily, the focus is not only on speed, but comprehending what you read. Comprehension is the running theme and the book presents numerous ways to nail it down. Before this book, I never realized how much of the author's point I was missing, even though I thought I was getting it. Now I can truly follow an authors argument and not get lost in the details. Also, the book is written for a wide variety of readers with varying skill levels, interests, and challenges. Therefore, it helps to identify your struggles and focus on the tips that address them. Where it doesn't shine is not everything here is new, and some tips are missing. Though, I do like Kam's explanations and descriptions, his stories, diagrams, and visuals make concepts extremely clear and easy to dive into. Overall, I think it's a good book offering numerous tips and exercises. If it's your first stab at speed reading, you'll reading and comprehension will improve.

The Best Guide to Speed Reading
I’ve tried countless speed reading books and apps, and they never seemed to truly help me read faster after I finished the exercises. This book is radically different. I’ve easily doubled my reading speed—and I haven’t even finished the book yet. Great book, excellent descriptions, and helpful practice drills to use within the book and in other reading materials to ensure that you’re able to put each technique into practice. I’ll probably reread this book a few times until it all really sinks in. I can’t recommend it enough.

Fantastic book!
This is an excellent book on speed reading! Kam Knight's book is now a part of the personal department section of my personal library in addition to my Evelyn Wood book on speed reading.

Pros: helpful tips to improve speed reading. It provides drills/exercises to implement what you are learning in each chapter. Easy to understand. Cons: more exercises with questions and answers would be beneficial to test comprehension. Sometimes analogies or stories used to explain a specific point did not resonate with my learning style but it might help others. I would recommend this book because I genuinely think that if you follow the instructions within, you will reach your goals. It’s a very short book with large font and clearly structured chapters. You really can’t go wrong if you buy this title. There are more speed reading techniques that the ones included in this book. But, this is not relevant, just an observation. What matters is what you can achieve with the tools this author is providing you with. My experience is Plenty!!! Fun and entertaining book that encourages any person of any age to improve reading and comprehension while studying or reading while in the train or plane. Long lasting skills for life. Fast delivery and it reads well. Congratulations to the author! I am sure many people will learn new tips and others will refresh old knowledge. In both cases, this is done effectively and in a lightweight manner. Nothing to complain about.

I never place a review but i was amazed with the impact this book had on my reading abilities that i could not! The book is easy to read, good explained and straightforward. It explains just enough for u to understand the point without making the book too heavy without necessity as many authors tend to do. The tips are really practical and i’ve experienced a big shift in how i read, process and understand information almost immediately. Really grateful for this work!

Very well written book. Small chapters, to the point, with actionables at the end. This is how most books should be written. There are many resources on speed reading, and many that cover most of what is said in this book. But none do it better than this one. Definitely a go to book for anyone wanting to improve their comprehension.
