Hello, could you share with me the best way to secure these to the house? I tried Tire bond Premium wood glue and the shingles buckle as they dry

Anything water based will cause hem to buckle. I used hot melt glue to fix them but then made the mistake putting a coat of water based (acrylic) paint on them and they buckled badly. Took off the worst of them and put on new ones. When I used enamel paint, no problem. Because Titebond is wate soluble, I suspect it caused wood to swell.
