Points to note about this book.1) Though designed for people learning Swedish as beginners it is entirely in Swedish.2) It is meant to be used in a class context.3) Supplementary exercises based on the book are available to teachers.4) There is an associated website where students can test themselves with practice exercises.5) It comes with a CD.If you intend to learn Swedish on your own and not as part of a class, you should not buy this booksince it includes many group-work exercises.If your primary route into learning a new language is grammar, you should not buy this book.Grammar is included bit by bit, chapter by chapter, but not in a formalised way. There are, however,sections covering grammar at the back.If your purpose in learning Swedish is to understand it and to read it but not to converse in it,then you should not buy this book, since much of it involves practice in speaking.If you intend to join a Swedish course for beginners and this is the text to be used,then you will not regret buying it (assuming the teacher is good).For me, the greatest weakness of this book is in the area of group-work,some of the exercises not being all that good.But in the main it does what it sets out to do.

This book is absolutely worthless! Looks like a workbook, little text, stupid exercises, chaotic presentation of grammar and all. Do not pay the full price, buy it used! It may be helpful only for real beginners, but still ain't worth the money.
