EcoAqua 6009A Replacement for Whirlpool 8171414

Loved the price, compared to the name brand. The water came out a bit discolored when I first installed the filter, but that quickly cleared up after a few glassfuls. I see a few air bubbles coming through as I dispense the water, which did not happen with the name brand filter. Other than that, the filter works, and I do not have the city water taste!

Nothing wrong/different with the taste of the water, followed the instructions, still working well. One star off as there was considerable 'run-on' after first fitting it, the flow was so fast the water dispenser couldn't shut it off for a second or two. It did not do that again and has worked fine since.

This product was ordered as a replacement for a brand name filter. It installed easily and the filter performs as expected. I did run a small pitcher of water through the filter after installation to clear out a small amount of residue. I have been using the filter for over a week now without any complaints. If you are looking to save some money over brand names, I would recommend this one.

Refrigerator filters can be really expensive. This one is a fourth the price what a famous brick-and-mortar store charges, and a still third of the price if we buy OEM directly from the parts outlet. I'm able to tell the difference between filtered and distilled water, but this filter's output tastes great.

This replacement filter is exactly what I needed for my fridge. It worked exactly as it was supposed to and the water tastes great (less filling). Even got a nice note from the store owner thanking me for my purchase with him. I will purchase this filter again from this seller, Bonus was that it was less expensive than others I found. Can't argue with that.

IT was easy to install. Not sure how long it will last. until water pressure drop at the filter water outlet and the ice maker to replace with new filter.

Not much to say, it came plastic wrapped, capped and boxed well. Plugged right in with a little effort(suppose to fit snug I think). The price is just hands down better than your local Sears parts supply. Bought two, last one I bought I actually used almost a year.

Seems to be a good product that filters "more" than just scale and larger particals.... and for a lower cost than the old filter purchased at Lowes, etc...
