Nikwax Down Wash

I’m happy with this stuff. It cleans well and leaves a good coating on my garments. Make sure you follow the instructions. ChatGPT has a lot of other good tips with respect to its usage.

I like this down wash but the bottle is too small for the price. I used the whole bottle for just one parka. It cleans really well though but you have to clean the dirty spots manually first, than put it in a large basin or bathtub to soak, and finally, put it in the washing machine. I first just put my parka in the washing machine but it didn't come out clean. So, I had to do the steps I described above. My North Face white parka now looks brand new and fluffy. I recommend it but I wish the bottle was either bigger, or cheaper though.

Worked well on my down jacket. The instructions were easy to understand. The smell is very subtle and my jacket came out so clean.

Works well for washing down jackets. Wish I heeded other user’s advice to pre-treat stains around the sleeve hems before washing. Give it an extra rinse and toss in dryer on delicate or low heat with a bunch of dryer balls to expedite re-puffing. The parka’s smell is odd post-wash and the biggest con.

The best! A hiker friend of mine recommended this to me as I was struggling with washing my down jackets and getting them as fluffy after each wash (especially my first grader who’s jacket needs a weekly wash 🙈). Works great, the jackets come out well Washed and as fluffy as the first day. Not that effective on oil stain, so pretreat those!

standard product quality. does its job. just be sure if you store it in a ziplock bag or change its original container or something because the container lid leaks

I was hesitant to wash my down sleeping bag but it needed it desperately so I tried this. I was afraid it would lose its warmth after washing. It came out of the wash nice and clean and I have noticed no difference in the heat retention either. Highly recommend!

This solution works well. No funny odor or residue. My puffer fluffed up like it was brand new. I have purchased this cleaner multiple times because it works so well. Great value!

Employé pour nettoyer des sacs de couchage en duvet d'oie (ou de canard) dans une machine à chargement frontale. En cycle "laine / lavage à la main" à 30 C et essorage à 400 tours par minute, les sacs sont ressortis plus propre, et sans grosses boules de duvet. (Après un lavage dans une machine à chargement par le dessus à l'américaine (grosse cuve), j'avais obtenu des boules de duvet que j'ai dû défaire une à une). Aucun soucis avec ce produit Nikwax, mais il faut bien faire attention à la machine employée lors du lavage. D'ailleurs Nikwax recommande de laver les sacs de couchage à la main plutôt qu'en machine...

Ich hab das Prosukt benutzt um einen Daunenquilt (Schlafsack bei dem der Rücken offen ist) vor dem ersten Gebrauch zu waschen. Ich hätte nicht erwartet dass die Daunen danach noch mehr Loft (also Volumen) bekommen. Dieses Waschmittel hat meinen Quilt deutlich aufgewertet!
