PURE MASTIHA: This Chios gum mastic comes in the form of medium tears. Chios Mastiha 100% natural resin of Pistacia lentiscus var. Chia, a tree that grows only on the Aegean Island of Chios, Greece. Any change of the form due to wrong storage conditions does not cause any alteration of its properties. STORAGE INSTRUCTIONS: Always store Mastiha in its original packaging, tightly closed. Keep in a dry & cool place that will not exceed 64°F or 18°C for up to one week. For periods longer than 7 days and during the summer, always store at below 57.2°F or 14°C. But OF COURSE it's too sticky to chew on its own, most single ingredient gum bases are. So what I do is chew a piece of aspartame free gum (like pure three) and once it is just a bit chewed(as in about 10 chews) then I add 1 or 2 tears of mastic gum to that gum I'm already chewing. This results in perfect consistency. There is a bit of a learning curve in figuring out how to guage how much mastic to add to the gum you're chewing cause too much will be super sticky. The taste is also a bit of an acquired one but once you have it figured out, there is no other gum you'll want. Review: Pebble size trash - This was by far the worst "gum" I have had the displeasure of having in my mouth. The pieces were the size of pebbles with the flavor of butter dirt. The ROCKS never turned into a gum like substance but rather broke into smaller pieces (somehow) and got stuck to my teath. This made the experience worse, as I couldn't get the awful flavor out of my mouth as fast as I would have preferred. If I could I would give this 0/5 stars.
