Rose Chardonnay Pinot Noir Methode Cap Classique, 75cl | Chardonnay Sparkling Rose Wine

Can’t call it champagne but this is definitely a great alternative and a step above Prosecco. The rose is my favourite but the Chardonnay is also a delight! Crisps and floral, one of my favourite bubbles!

Love South African MCC 's just as good as Champagne just at a far better price point. This Brut rise is dry and divine.

Really enjoyed this wine. Good value, great taste and more character than your average pink offerings in supermarkets.

Absolute different botl Don't recommend

I had some Amazon vouchers to use, so thought I'd treat myself to a bottle of wine. There's generally a much wider choice available on Amazon than you'd find in any supermarket, so it tends to be my go to place to try something different. The Pongracz Sparkling Rose is a combination of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir so essentially South Afrian champagne. The bottle is well presented and there is a nice fizz to it. I think I over chilled it (I have a sleeve which super cools wines) and the taste although refreshing left a lingering citrus note on the palette. It wasn't anything that put me off the wine, just a little bit too much for full enjoyment. Overall though it's a perfectly nice wine and one I'll probably buy again and pair with something gamey like duck or pheasant.

This is one of my favourite sparkling wines - and it happens to be from my home country South Africa. Was very glad to find this on Amazon and will order again when it is in stock. Good value for money, a lovely pinot noir/ Chardonnay MCC.
