Q: Is there a recommended maximum depth for this?

1/8 normal. I have done 2 inch at time but you really need deep pour product for river table.

Q: What are the instructions for installation? Other answer says practice first, but I'm wondering what possible complications might be?

Possible complications we found is not mixing this properly therefore it will not harden.

Q: I have wood table that I want to make shine, would this product will give me what I'm looking for?

Yes it will make the table very glossy but it is not an easy process . If you have not worked with epoxy much you will want to practice before you use it on your table.

Q: Is there a special surface to make the bowl?

To make a bowl ,you need a black contractor bag ,lay it flat and mix part A and B together for at least 3 minutes ,mix resin with mica powder/ alcohol ink ,then pour to your desired bowl size, letset up for 3-4 hours attempting to peal off plastic while still flexible and form using a glass or bowl to create your resin bowl ,leave as is or trim to your liking then cure 12-18 hrs til hard.
