They're boxers.
Amazon emailed me at 2:44 in the morning insisting I review these things. Am I creeped out that Amazon emailed me at 2:44 in the morning to ask how my underwear felt? At least *someone* cares. These boxers are, in fact, boxers. If used properly, installing one (1) pair on my body after a shower (and thoroughly drying the area using a non-abrasive absorbent cloth such as a bath towel), they work exactly as advertised. They provide little support for your kibbles and bits because they are, in fact, boxers. You don't wear boxers for support, you wear them because otherwise you'd only last about two rounds in strip poker. Also, your pants are too scratchy, and it's nice to have something keeping your semi-engorged masculinity from incidental discomfort every time that one waitress refills your coffee.I've bought three packs of these in the past, and because I keep losing them--dog eats a pair, left at someone's house, used as a makeshift flag in a backyard game of Underwear Pirates--I have to keep buying more. There's nothing wrong with them, though. They're inexpensive and delivered quick. As noted in the description, these boxers come in assorted colors and patterns. This particular pack of four included a gaudy red pair, two that were kinda paisley and awful, and one sweet grey pair I plan to keep in my wallet (next to the condom) for quick deployment the next time a girl at the bar decides to take me home. That said, there's nothing swanky about them. If you're the kind of person who likes standing around admiring your swanky boxers, these are not for you. Check elsewhere, Taye Diggs. One star off because I've yet to assemble the ultra manly combination shown in the picture (out of four packs purchased), and that doesn't seem right.

Five for four
I ordered the large size (I'm 36" waist).Nice and bright, 100% cotton. I like them. Switched over from briefs to boxers and chose these Hanes.Very natural feel to them and, the no slit opening keeps you tucked safely inside them should you be wandering around your house wearing only your boxers. You might have to fuss a little if you're donning your form fitting pants as they do tend to ruffle easily but, overall, they fit well and leave you feeling "ventilated".Summary, for the price and the extra set, well worth the money. I'm pleased with my purchase and they fit as I'd expect.

Comfortable, roomy boxers
I was a bit concerned about trying these because of reports of the dual seams in the back being irritating. They are just fine. I don't notice the seams at all, and I'm one who is usually very irritated by seams and tags in clothing. (These have no tags either). The colors I got were mostly dark and subdued, pretty much as pictured, again just fine with me.Sizing seems generous. I'm a bit overweight; I wear XXL shorts and T-shirts, and have trouble buckling my size 42 Levis 550's right out of the dryer. However, the XL size in these Hands cotton boxers fit me and are roomy and comfortable, even after several washings. The waistband elastic seems weak, but so far it holds without binding or leaving marks on my skin. Perhaps they minimized the elastic force for comfort. Hope it holds up over time going through hot dryers.Try out a pack like I did. I went back and bought several more packs. Note that there's a 4-pack and a 5-pack. The 5-pack is cheaper per item. (I bought the 4-pack first to minimize my risk, but went back and bought a couple of 5-packs after that.)

The material is nice and soft
I went accordingly to the chart to get the right size, I was expecting more of a looser fit, and instead found that the cut of the boxers have them fairly tight fitting to your body shape, and I am an more of a muscular athletic build, so it I was not overly impressed when I found they are tight fitting. The material is nice and soft, which I was very happy about, and the waist band is really nice exactly what you'd expect and comfortable. The flap in the front also didn't have me overly impressed as it is layered over itself from the side to just open, but there is no button to secure it closed, which didn't give me peace of mind. The one's I got have two pair which are identical which doesn't bother me, I just wished I'd known more about how tight they'd fit me, as I couldn't squat down to pick something up without knowing I'd rip my boxers without a question. I wondered if the next size bigger would have been any better, but looking at the way they are cut I realized they are not the loose fitting style I have always always known and enjoyed. If you wear tight fitting pants than these would be the boxers for you.

comfy cozy
I usually buy Jockey brand boxers but decided to go with Hanes because of the much lower price. They are both 100% cotton and the only difference is that the Jockeys have a single button on the front flap. However, when it comes to pricing, there is a huge difference. I paid only $17.06 for a 4-pack from NY Lingerie. Amazon is currently selling a single pair of Jockeys for $13.50 although you can get a 2-pack from the Jockey website for $24.00. For a single pair it comes down to $4.26 for Hanes versus $12.00 for Jockey. Talk about a no brainer. The clincher is the fit and comfort. The Hanes tagless waistband is the most comfortable I have experienced. These boxers fit so well that I honestly can't tell I'm wearing them. They don't ride up on you or tug at all. Shortly after I received my original order, I was so impressed that I ordered 2 more 4-packs. Forgot to mention these come in an assortment of 4 different nice looking patterns. Shame on you Jockey for charging so much more because of a silly little button.
