Frontier Co-op Passion Flower Herb, Cut and Sifted - Kosher | 16 Ounce (Pack of 1)

I recently started making my own teas and tinctures and I don’t have access naturally to all the herbs or flowers that I would like. These packaged passion flowers are such high quality and were much larger in size than I was expecting. I’ve been adding to my stock of herbs and flowers and will definitely buy this one again.

I purchased this based on a review of another company's Passion Flower. The reviewer complained about that company's product having stems in the package and mentioned that Frontier's did not. That reviewer was mistaken. There are, indeed, all parts of the plant in my bag; however, I do not see that as a negative. The entire plant has benefit so it's not a loss. It Is a bit tougher to grind into a fine powder, but my Cuisinart managed it. It took a good 5 minutes of the blades pulverizing the herb, then another 10 minutes of sifting to get only the powder, and another 5 minutes of pulverizing the more solid pieces, then another 10 minutes of sifting. After 30 minutes, though, I had what I needed to fill my capsules with my "stop the madness and let me sleep" blend. If using for tea it's going to be fine right out of the bag. Same if using for a tincture. I resealed the herb in an airtight bag to preserve the freshness. I was able to get 96 capsules out of 1.75 cups of this and my other herbs.

I bought this passionflower herb to add to my homemade sleepytime tea. The only picture I could find on my phone at this time is one of my sleepytime blend. I like adding it as an addition because of the properties like: calming, and also helps with anxiety & nervousness. It’s a great addition to a sleepytime tea because it helps calm the whole body. Really happy with this product and the price point.
