Would you suggest painting the wall whatever color and then painting over with a clear paint with the sparkles in it?

I painted the first coat of my color as is, and then added the sparkle to the paint to do the second coat and it turned out beautifully. I would think that a clear coat would work but I don’t think it’s necessary.

I bought this and we did a trial and it is good, we can see the sparkles, but we bought mother of pearl color and it looks more greenish ..???

I find that many Mother of Pearl glitters and mica powders color shift in green to pink hues. I don't have this glitter color but that might be what you are seeing.

The video posted on this ad uses Chalk paint, but it says to use water based paint. What do I use?
