**I didn’t buy this for lettuce, I use it as a mini washing machine** This salad spinner is amazing. No more losing masks in the wash! I bought this hoping I could use it as a mini washing machine. Originally I wanted it for small laundry items. I figured it could at least wash a single dress if I needed it to. You just toss in the clothing item/items, fill it up with water, add your detergent, pop the lid on, and press the button. It stays spinning by itself at a nice speed for around 60 seconds when there’s water in it. After 60 seconds as the spinning slows down, I press it again so it starts spinning faster. Repeat this 5 times. Then I empty out the water in the sink, rinse it, fill it back up with new water, and let it run for another 3 minutes (3 button presses) Just drain out the water again and rinse your item under the sink if you suspect there’s still detergent on it. Give it one last spin with no water in there to dry the items. It’ll spin longer this time since there’s no water slowing it down, but it will also wiggle a little since there’s not much weighing it down anymore. Then I just squeeze the item as dry as I can, and let it hang dry in the bathroom. It’s PERFECT for washing masks. It only takes about 10 minutes and then you just hang them up to dry. You can wash whatever you want in it, as long as it fits. It can fit 10+ face masks. Probably about the same amount for panties, around 10 pairs. It can fit a pair of 3XL men’s basketball shorts. 2 pairs of leggings. Just basic small loads of laundry or a single clothing item. This was the largest salad spinner I could find on Amazon so I went with it. Works perfectly. It’s perfect if you don’t have a washing machine and need to wash some emergency clothes. I have no idea how it works with salad, but it must work pretty well since it’s working perfect as a mini washing/drying machine. Easy to clean. Very Easy to use. Really sturdy. The actual lid doesn’t lock but it doesn’t need to since it’s sturdy. And there’s no water spout to drain the water, but I couldn’t find a big one that came with a spout connected.. just take out the basket and dump out the water, easy peasy.

This works so well at getting leafy greens dry. Primarily we use it for spinach, but I am interested in how it will work for fruit as well, like whether it will get thrown off balance or not. Easy to use and easy to clean.

I had been wanting this for awhile (for husband) because we have organic greens to wash and this makes it a lot easier. Someone in my family told me this was a good one. She was right - it is built well and it spins the water out easily. My husband really likes it - so far we are only using it to spin out garden greens for salad. It has made the washing and rinsing to dry out the salad much better. I recommend it. You just pump it up and it spins pretty fast for a few minutes and it's not difficult. Sometimes he leaves it sitting upright to air dry sometimes and it has been humid. I noticed underneath there is a green silicone or rubber seal that has black mold growing underneath...between the clear bucket and the seal. I am going to try and soak it in bleach to see if I can get rid of that. I already tried scrubbing. I might try leaving it out in the sunlight. It's not a lot of mold but definitely the seal. I have had the item less than 6 mths. I still think it's a good product but it needs to be thoroughy dried I guess. I have not put it in the dish washer. One thing I can't stand about silicone - like silicone caulking..is this exact issue where mold gets in underneath. I have not had that problem with regular caulking. A separate issue, I know but similar I think. I was surprised to see black mold beginning to grow on the green seal underneath this spinner. It doesn't bother him though. If I figure out how to remove it I will update. I have not tried citric acid either.

Product works as intended. Great for not only lettuces but other fruits and vegetables as well. So far product is durable and I have had no issues, use approximately once or twice a month. Color is vibrant and appealing. Size works for exactly what I need.

This product is worth the extra money in my opinion, its not flimsy, its the largest i could find and does the job well!! The knob broke on my last salad spinner, i think this can last my lifetime
