Excellent for office and university work , fast and reliable. The battery life isn't the best when you're gaming but for office work it's actually decent. It is like having a pc but with the added benefit of being able to take it everywhere you want to. I would recommend if you don't mind not having to compromise battery for having a better performance output.

I've had this laptop for a good while now. It certainly has served me well and I've used it for hundreds of hours now so I'm happy to share my experience. Pros: Very fast - can turn it on and by the time I've sat down it's ready Graphics are great - No issues with modern AAA games On cold days, free heater - Just park a mouse to the right and that hand is nice and toasty. Backlit keyboard - great for low light rooms or at night. Cons: Battery life is very poor - 1 hour at some times so I regularly keep mine plugged in Fans can get very loud - This is configurable but performance in games can be affected if not using "Turbo" mode on the fans which sounds like you're about to take off for a holiday to Spain. Heat can be a downside - This laptop runs very hot and in a heat wave like last year, I didn't want to use it! Also I don't recommend this being directly on your lap for safety purposes! Lack of a webcam can be a deal breaker for some, luckily not for me.

Excellent gaming laptop. Only issue has been propping it up to stop it from overheating.

Immediately after I received it, I charged and started it to make sure it doesn't have any issues. I installed a couple of apps then turned it off. The next day I tried to start it, but noticed it wouldn't, so I just assumed maybe it didn't have enough battery. I left it to charge for a couple of hours. The day after, I tried again. It still didn't start, even if the charging light was on. I tried the advice on the Asus FAQ page, but none seems to work. Quite dissapointed as a first experience.

It's a decent laptop. Good for gaming and office working. A bit slow for video editing. A big downside is that the screen position does not go beyond 100-110 degree angle, meaning it is not suitable for some laptop stands.

The one I received was defective, bought another one outside Amazon and was defective too... The 3rd one was fine xD

One in every 10 times the laptop takes over an hour to boot up. Stuck on ROG start screen. If you want to use this laptop for work I would steer clear of this one. I use this laptop for work and have to get up 2 hours early to turn it on. I tried everything to fix it. ASUS said it is a hardware fault and they will need to take the laptop for over 30 days to fix it. Not good enough for a laptop that costs over €1500

To install the initial drivers and Win and everything was a pain, better find a manufacturer manual that tell you the right order and versions. Some apps (armory crate, Asus interface, radeon software - clashes with Ge force xperience) are just a bit obsolete. Please keep in mind the version you are buying - ROG Zephyrus G GA502IU does not have the casing logo lighting up and doe snot support aura, only has white backlight on keyboard. Beware the Radeon chipset comes with integrated graphics so maybe you will have to prioritize the use of GeForce on couple of things, it crashed few times before I got there. But Overall, I am very satisfied and hope some advanced gaming will also be smooth. BTW get a cooling pad.
