197546 PowerCore Cool Air Intake

If you have a v8 in your vehicle and want to cut it’s balls off and have no power look no further. waste of money, easy to install I’m gonna tune it even though I shouldn’t have to, looks cool but that’s all it has going for it feels like it’s suffocating my engine

4/11/15 I bought this CAI and the throttle body spacer together I am pleased with the performance and looks of compared to the stock. Only issue of course is the absolutely terrible instructions they send you with. But with some time and common sense you can put together without too much difficulty. It Does have a whistle too it almost comparable to a dog whistle driving around 1500-2000RPM takes some getting used but not unbearably annoying I kind of enjoy it. Cleans up the engine bay alot looks great.Only had it week haven't had the time too notice any MPG increase yet due the fact I'm enjoying the performance side of it more than fuel economy.I'll throw an update after a few tanks of gas have been ran threw it I recommend this too buy.

Over the years I've used advertised cold air intakes on several vehicles, namely K&N products but feel they are lacking. I bought this Volant for my 2006 Ford Harley F150 with hopes that it would draw cold air in only ; it does so as the stock air box but in addition has two add'l inlets which would draw hot under-the-hood air as well, defeating the purpose!. Not wanting to purchase the add'l 'snorkel' at $160 advertised on this site; I decided to block off the add'l inlets. Doing so may have reduced the air drawn into the unit, but I figured the difference is negligible. As for increased HP or gas mileage, I have no real world #'s to report but, the truck feels like it runs better. The installation was pretty straight forward. instructions that are included are very basic narrative text, basic hand tools are all that's req'd. I found that installing the filter element in the box was somewhat challenging, a little silicone spray helped & ended up re-using the stock 6mm bolt as the only fastener securing the box to the fender tray as there was already a threaded hole.Also due to some alignment/clearance issues I had to relocate the ABS fuse/relay module deeper into the fender well Not mentioned in the instructions is the removal/replacement of the stock breather hose ..the hose is included but I recommend using hose clamps especially at the valve cover/block fitt'g. Overall,it is a quality product adding to the performance & appearance of the vehicle. I would recommend buying this product.

SO after a lot of blog and review reading I decided that the Volant Powercore was the way to go oer any K&N product. I got the intake in 3 days which was awesome! My only issue was tyhe install. I have a 2007 F150 Lariat with the 5.4. The air box was a lot larger than I imagined and I ended up needing to move a fuse box which was mounted on the side of the engine compartment. The 1/2 hose that is included was too large for the breather fitting and I could not use the factory one since the Volant didnt have a tab on it to clip onto. The box comes with several mounting bolts however where it is placed there was only 1 hole that could be utilized since it is NOT in line with where all the OEM stuff was. It took me almost 2hrs but a lot of that time was just moving stuff(HID cables etc) and trying to get the filter on. I HIGHLY suggest putting the filter on PRE install. All in all the look of this thing is killer and the sound when you stomp on the peddle is like a Rousch mustang. It is as quiet as an OEM setup when normal driving. The best part is this thing actually sucks cool outside air unlike the k&n which is really sucking hot air from the engine. I saw there was a down tube for a "ram air" effect on another website but now I couldnt tell you which site.

Had to return, would not fit truck.

No issues, arrived on time, installed easy and sounds great. Minor MPG improvement just stay off your right foot to save $.

Wish i could give it 0 stars, very dissapointed because of all the good reviews i have read about it. If u have a 04-08 f150 that is 4x4, it will require u to remove the location of ur fuse box for the 4x4, and there is no other place to put it. The box is held in by 1 bolt. The tube connecting the box and the throttle body was never straight. Could not get this intake to work. so i am going air raid which i should have bought in the first place. Instructions were crap too. Just over all dissapointed in this. Hope i get my full refund

Outstanding intake! Sounds great and allows my engine to breath, plus it was a snap to install.
