About Everlast The name Everlast is synonymous with boxing. Renown internationally as a manufacturer of boxing equipment, Everlast started out as a swimwear manufacturer in 1910. Headquartered in the Bronx, NY, the company was founded by 17-year-old Jacob Golomb. The son of a tailor and an avid swimmer, Jacob Golomb was dissatisfied with the durability of swimsuits because they barely lasted a season, so he began making suits that he guaranteed would last for a full year. He proudly gave them the name, Everlast. Although the swimsuits did not last through the years, the name did. Over the next years, Golomb expanded his company into a small retail store that carried a full line of sports equipment. In 1917, a young fighter named Jack Dempsey introduced boxing to Golomb and Everlast. Dempsey asked Golomb to construct protective headgear that would last more than 15 rounds of intensive boxing training. Golomb specially designed the training gear for Dempsey. In 1919, Dempsey won the world’s heavyweight championship wearing boxing gloves made for him by Golomb. Everlast became the headquarters for boxing equipment throughout the world. In 1925, Golomb designed elastic-waist trunks to replace the leather-belted trunks then worn by boxers. These trunks, now known as boxer trunks, immediately became famous. Jacob Golomb ran the business until he passed away in the early 1950’s and his son, Dan, took over. In 1958, Ben Nadorf joined Everlast and purchased 50% of the company from the Golomb family. When Dan Golomb passed away in 1995, Nadorf purchased the family’s remaining 50% interest. Nadorf remained the President and Principle Share Holder of Everlast until October 24, 2000. Everlast men’s and women’s apparel and accessories continue today to be tremendously successful both inside and outside the ring. In addition, Everlast boxing trunks and equipment remain the proud and undefeated champion of the boxing industry for more than 90 years. The history continues, as the name states. Everlast has a traditional past and a knockout future.

Strap is about to tear off
Update: Adding back 2 stars because I took the gloves to my shoe/purse repair place and he fixed it and reinforced the other glove for $8 and they're fine, and it's not like they're an $100 pair of gloves - but it is a bummer that they only lasted two months before the strap broke. It's not like I'm going to throw them away, I'll keep fixing them, but I was hoping Everlast would have slightly better quality. After shipping I spent $44 on these gloves that lasted 2 months (oct-dec) and all I do is boxing/circuit classes twice a week. The one and only strap on the right glove is about to tear off.Two stars bc they’re great otherwise but seriously for the little amount I work out I should not be taking these in for repair so soon

Awesome!
I love these new gloves! These were an upgrade from my regular gloves as I’ve taken my training to a higher level than just a regular boxing/exercise class and started training to prepare for actual fights. I love the weight and heft of them, great for training. So if you’re just looking for a once a week kickboxing or exercise class you may find something lighter or not designed to be used in actual training. The padding is perfect for my heavy bag training, and they are comfortable even with wraps on. All around a win!

Not Great, but Cute
I just started a boxing class once a week so not only am I not a pro, but I also will only use these 30 minutes a week. I initially used the gloves at the gym and of course they were very good. These gloves are nowhere near as padded as the ones I originally used at the gym. Much less comfortable for that reason and kind of difficult to get off and on quickly which is what is needed in the class. I guess for the price they are ok but I wish I’d have spent the extra $30 for a good pair. They are super cute though, so not a bad fashion accessory!

Great pair of training gloves
It’s an excellent pair of training gloves for beginners. I’m about 120 lbs and 5’3” and this is a perfect size for me (12 oz). I really am not clear on how the sizes correspond to body measurements to be honest, but my trainer suggested 12 or 14oz, and I got this pair. I am very happy with it. It’s comfortable, fairly easy to put on, Velcro is wide and strong and has a flap I can grab with my teeth easily. Color is a pretty light pink, not obnoxious at all.

Ouch! Not enough comfort for full force punching
Ordered these because I wanted strong wrist support. The wrist support is excellent, but I would assume I have an average-sized hand for a woman and I felt these were too snug once you put on wraps, and when punching a bag the shock through my elbow and shoulder was much higher than when I borrow my husband's ringside gloves which are wonderful when it comes to impact. Returning these for some ringsides.

Small Gloves
I finally got back into working out and wanted a new pair of gloves. The last time I purchased a pair of gloves was in 2010. I had a pair of Everlast gloves. i know it's durable so i purchased the same brand. My trainer told me to purchase smaller ones because I had the 12oz. I purchased the 8oz. These are small. I'm weigh more than the recommend weight for the gloves but I have small hands. they're a little tight but I was told that they will stretch a bit with time. I still like these more than the older ones. This is a great brand. I would recommend these for anyone that wants to start boxing and doesn't want to spend too much on gloves.

They'll do the job
I love the color and the weight and that's why I chose these gloves. I've been using them for 2 months now and my complaint comes with the interior tearing. I would like to buy another pair but I'm hesitant because I'm thinking the inside of the glove will tear again.

They have a purpose, but it's not my class.
If you know someone who does boxing/muay thai/ kicking boxing or you want to start these activities, be nice and dont buy everlast gloves. They are made for goodlifes martial art fitness class not an actual hit something class. My hands hurt a fair bit after using them.

Excelente producto

Colours Different than Shown
Gloves are decent, but the colours are not as they appear. I was expecting a metallic navy and lilac - gloves are actually a flat navy and baby pink. Not a huge deal, but these are a backup pair of gloves that I purchased solely because I loved the colour. I wouldn’t have purchased them otherwise.

Would recommend
Love these gloves. I read some reviews and was anxious because some folks hated them. I am 5'2 and about 130 lbs. I have shortish fingers but fairly big wrists. I love to punch very hard and need a glove that allows for that without a wrist twist or fi ferd moving inside. I love these for the angle your hand takes inside the glove. They are excellent in the length of the wrist, and while the velcro is a little to short for perfect one hand closure, I can do it and have fairly wide wrists especially as I wear wraps on my hands as well. Super training gloves for the money . I would buy a pair again! And great colour! (I bought the pink and blue)

Perfect!
I ordered them around 3 or 4 days ago, and they arrived much earlier than I had expected. They're really comfy to wear, and have great padding around the knuckles. The material is breathable around the palm too, definitely would recommend. I got the 8oz pair, and I must say they fit quite snug, but I have slightly smaller hands than the average 13 year old.
