A definite upgrade for those who use their pens a lot!
Pen works flawlessly on the Surface Pro 3. The pairing process was virtually identical to the SP3 pen, quick and easy. The first thing I noticed when I picked up the pen was how well balanced it was. The old surface pen felt top-heavy at times; however, this pen felt just right. The pen I bought came with four extra tips (there is a special promotion that includes these tips with every pen purchase as of the time I wrote this review). I instantly changed the default tip on the pen (HB) to a higher friction one (B). Writing with the new pen feels great, the added friction really makes writing on the SP3 a much better experience. Things I want to point out about the pen features: 1. Single press eraser button to launch OneNote still work (as does single press to launch OneNote from locked screen) 2. Double tap eraser button to clip screen and send to OneNote works just as well as the SP3 pen. 3. I had my doubts regarding whether the eraser feature would work properly with the SP3; however, I was pleasantly surprised that the eraser worked perfectly with the pro 3 (tested on Drawboard and OneNote). Erasing feels rubbery, just like an actual eraser. 4. Press and hold eraser button to launch Cortana works. 5. You can still tack on the pen to the right side of the SP3 where it will magnetically stick if you're like me and don't use the pen loop. The pen seems to hold a bit more tightly this time around. 6. Pen latency feels just as good as the previous pen (it may be better, but I only use the pen for writing notes). 7. The SP4 pen has a higher hovering distance from the SP3 screen than the SP3 pen (I can hover a full inch away from the screen and it will still register). Things to note: 1. Unlike the SP3 pen (which required two batteries), the SP4 pen only requires a single AAAA battery. 2. Once I found out that the eraser works flawlessly, I began to wonder if Microsoft had added a feature that would let you to scroll web pages with the eraser side of the pen (this would make sense as you could use the pen side to select text and the eraser side to scroll). Unfortunately, this was not the case. Perhaps this is not possible with the way current software is set up. 3. The only has one button now (hidden under the vertical grip along the pen's side). The only complaint I have regarding this button is that it can be difficult to press at times as it is very "tight"; however, this may be a plus as it may prevent you from accidentally pressing the right click (a minor issue with the SP3 pen). Overall, this is an excellent pen, a worthy upgrade to the already great SP3. If you are someone who uses their SP3 to write, take notes, annotate papers in PDF format, etc. this upgrade should definitely be considered. 10/10. Would buy again.

Exactly what I needed for my Surface Pro 3, with a slight addition.
I have a Surface Pro 3 and I got this Pen for 2 reasons. 1) I liked the features over the SP3 pen (Such as changeable tips and the eraser at the top) and 2) because I wanted to magnetically attach it to my surface. For the first part, this pen lived up to my expectations. The drawing feels much more natural with more friction on the screen. The eraser is great. manually selecting the stroke eraser in OneNOte was a PAIN given how many mistakes I make when writing (A lot). For the second part I ran into an issue. I wanted to mount the pen on the opposite side of the charging port because I wanted it mounted while using a Surface Pro 4 dock. Here's the deal. YES it does magnetically connect. But ONLY where the volume rocker is. The other magnet on the pen (located where the right click button is near the tip) does NOT magnetically attach to the surface. As such, gravity takes over and the pen tip drops to my desk. As a work around I bought these rather fantastic magnets: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0033PHCU0/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o07_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 They are 0.375" in diameter which is just a mm or 2 larger than the side of the Surface Pro 3 and 1/32" in thickness which is just a HAIR thicker than the volume rocker. I placed it on the side where the right click magnet would attach to the surface and BAM, works flawlessly and stays perfectly intact. The only issue is the magnet SLIGHTLY interferes with the kickstand closing, but not enough to cause any issue or damage. Hope this helps someone!

Worked for two weeks
Worked for two weeks then the tip stopped responding 80% of the time to my Surface Pro 4 The eraser end still works and the cursor shows up when holding the button so I believe this is a hardware fault within the pen itself. Another thing is that for some reason pressure doesn't work with my pen, at first I thought it was a software issue but it seems to be hardware as well. I do want to mention that there is a known issue with this specific pen where the ESD (electro static discharge) protection varistor will fail and cause the front to stop working. Another thing (that is a seller fault not product fault) is that Tech EXPRESS is selling pens that are from Fulton County Schools, they are wrapped with a horrible feeling aluminum skin to hide the fact.

See easy to use and so accurate. Quite an amazing product, actually. That that top acts as an eraser is both excellent design and very cute. The location of the button is very subtle. Inclusion of multiple tips that simulate different lead hardnesses is very useful!

I bought this as replacement for my 13 year old daughter's 13,5'' surface book, works fine.

Just got the pen, today. It paired immediately, and writes well. However, the product page is misleading. The picture shows the pen with a clip, while what I received was a pen without the clip. The product page says "Includes pen tip kit a $10.00 value". One would think, one was getting a spare pen tip kit. Don't kid yourself. No such thing. All I got was the pen with a tip on it, and a battery in it. Unfortunately, due to lack of competitive selling in India, we have have to put up with such unprofessional selling. The pen, though a little high priced is good, the purchase experience is a little disappointing.
