Top Class
Another labour of love from Jimmy Adams and New In Chess. Its a doorstop of a book over 800 pages, 200+ games and a biography of an influential player. The games have contemporary notes in the main and having them all in the one place, in English saves you from needing ancient magazines and newspapers. The book is well printed, hardcover and well bound. One of the best chess books of recent times.

Here at last, a definitive book on Gyula Breyer!
Close to a '5' really. Jimmy Adams' long-awaited tome on one of the founding fathers of hypermodernism. A bit of a hodge-podge in spots and in some ways more a compilation of materials. Clearly, a great deal of research went into this tome. It has received some biting criticism from folks who are good at criticizing but little else...

It is a very good and interesting book about the life of a chess ...
It is a very good and interesting book about the life of a chess genius - who just lived 28 years. There was no problem with the shipping. No complaint.

A fine book
I was frankly disappointed with the earlier book on chigorin but this is fabulous piece of chess history and a great games collection.
