My sweet boys get so excited when they know it is bath time! They love rolling around in their dust baths and even though I have had them for years I still laugh and smile when I see how happy and excited they get over bath time!😆 Warning: Do not put too much in their bath huts as the dust gets EVERYWHERE and you will end up wasting it. We add about 1/4 cup...maybe even a little less, and that lasts several baths. This is the only brand we use and it is a good value.

Dust is very fine, and can get in a hamsters lungs and kill them. I was not aware until a pet store advised me of such. Fine for chinchilla though.

I ordered this instead of the sand by mistake. Since my Robo hamster can't use it (dust is bad for hamster respiratory health) I had it sitting around until I could find a use. Well, an opportunity presented itself when one of my cats vomited on the floor and left a nasty, runny, gooey mess. Remember that stuff the school janitor would use to clean vomit from the floor? Well this dust did exactly what that stuff does. It absorbed the liquid and made the whole mess easy to sweep into a dust pan without need of tons of paper towels. The left over dust was easily swept up and floor mopped to remove the excess in the nook and crannies of my fake-wood flooring. I'm sure this dust works wonders for pet chinchillas but since I don't have a chinchilla my review won't be very helpful to determine the efficiency of it for your pet's bath. BUT on the very rare chance you ordered it by mistake like I did, you can get creative and use it for any liquid spills that you don't want to waste half a roll of paper towels to clean.

This is the best dust for a chinchilla bath. One container lasts a month for my 2 chinchillas and it works well. There is no odor and it is easy to clean out of the cage when they make a mess.

The only downside is now if my hamster goes into her hut and her sand isn't in there. She will throw the hut against the glass until I fill it back up. She loves bathing in it.
