Harrington LX Lever Hoist, Hook Mount, 1/4 Ton Capacity, 10' Lift, 8.1" Headroom, 5.9" Lever Length, 0.8" Hook Opening

This little hoist is super handy. I needed to support an overhead electric motor for repairs to the pump it was driving, and it did the job with ease. The weight of the combined assembly was about a third of the overall capacity of the hoist, and even with the stubby handle, it was an effortless lift. Nice quality and smooth operation.

this is a great product for the home hobby guy not heavy construction. I use it on my 54 chey truck to lift body parts and other items related to home use. light weight and easy to handle. just love it as it is my helper when working on something and I no longer have to prop stuff up which makes my wife happy for me to work safely as she says she has a lot invested in me.

Will it lift its rated load, of course! I guess I am just an over kill type of person, so it just seems so dainty. It does come with a load test certificate and is from Harrington. I don't think I could use a no name hoist this small! There are many benefits though. It will fit in a small leather pouch, so it is compact and protected. I t will fit and operate where many full sized ones will not. Very useful for sucking a joint in or giving a slight lift. One negative is that it is incredibly hard to get it into free spool down. I think it is just tight and will loosen up, but for now makes me cuss.

This is pretty much what I needed. The quality seems to be there as far as I can tell. Its much smaller than I thought it would be. Which is a good thing as long as it has the 500# of pull. It also comes with an individual serial numbered load rating certification. I guess in case you need it for industrial use. I may buy a few more since its so compact. Pretty much the size of my fist if you don't include the chain.

It’s certified, make by a reputable company and works fantastic for everything I’ve used it for! As a equipment mechanic ive used it to pull and bend guardrails on machines back to position, hold things in place to weld, pulling and lifting things like engine components. No complaints on it with anything so far.

I was surprised by how small this hoist is. It is amazing that something so small can lift so much weight. The fit and finish is top notch. Just be aware that the hooks are also quite small. I was unable to attach two lifting straps to the hook at the same time. Although, this can be easily resolved with an adapter.

I recently purchased a pair of these and they work okay for I what I need them for. One of the things that bothers me is that the neutral gear on one come along doesn't work and only works sometimes on the other one. I've used several of the 60 dollar ones that you can buy and to be honest the quality is pretty much the same. I also spread open the hook on one of them with way less than the load limit but in the products defense I had it connected in a way that put all of the weight on the tip.

I have used the same hoist for six years, and now purchased a second one. The first one is now scratched from constant use, but works as well as on the first day. The hoist is made in Japan. It is strong despite being light and very compact. The handle can be either rotated around or ratcheted, which really saves time when I want to lift faster. It is coated with rubber which still has not come off or deteriorated after years of use. Also the design allows the hoist to be ratcheted up together with the load, which is convenient in some of my applications. As long as your load does not exceed the modest 1/4 ton capacity of this hoist, I think it is one of the best around.

Great little lever hoist Harrington is owned Kito. This is the same hoist as the Kito lx series. Can't beat it for the price!!
