Cadac Threaded Gas Cartridge Regulator QR

Needed this for my new Cadac bbq, as you don’t get any gas connectors with the unit. As expected, this oozes Cadac’s expected product quality and robust construction, and the regulator delivers this. Decent length quality thick-walled hose (85cm), crimped on both ends to the fittings, rather than temperamental and awkward jubilee clips, with very good quality brass fittings and metal regulator. Everything just feels secure and safe, which is paramount for any gas accessory. Easily attached to the threaded gas canister and QR coupling on the bbq, and as easily detached. I did look at constructing my own, after balking at the price (managed to get this at just a smidge under £30), but would have been no cheaper, and probably more expensive, but nowhere near the quality of this if I’d bought all the separate bits. I’ve seen it cheaper online from other suppliers (and much more expensive too), but with p&p it worked out no cheaper, and often more expensive, so bit the bullet and bought this one, and glad I did. Although I appreciate that Cadac’s range of units can be fuelled by various gas types, which is really useful, but if you bought all the various regulators/adapters/fixings and fittings for the different gas types, you could easily spend as much as your bbq cost! That said, I have no qualms about this specific product, and being a big fan of Cadac gear, can easily recommend this.

Certainly not cheap when purchased along with the right-angled qr connection, but it's what I needed to complete my microcamper installation - Cadac twin burner hob in the drawer unit of a camper boot jump. But if there's one thing not worth scrimping on - it's gas fittings to use inside a vehicle. On the plus side: Gives a lot of flexibility - Coleman gas bottles are available everyehere. Reassuringly well made, with thick plastic coated hose, quality regulator & sealed joints. This has saved me from needing to install a gas-safe 907 bottle locker & vent. I also have a spare qr connecter to make up a 907 bottle hose to use in the awning if needed for long trips, and I could use my hoses with a small Cadac BBQ if I want to buy one on future.

Using this with my new Cadac 2 Cook 3 pro. Perfect with the quick release and a C500 gas canister. Good length too.
