Great gift for foodies
I got this gift for my girlfriend who is a huge foodie and loves trying new techniques especially to surprise our guests when we host parties. We've been trying to find a molecular gastronomy restaurant in CT or cooking classes teaching these techniques and we couldn't find anything outside of New York City. She absolutely loved the recipe books for both the food and drink techniques and has been implementing cool new ideas into all of our meals since I gave this to her for our three year anniversary. She's already coming up with a menu for when we have her siblings over for a game night to surprise them with cool items. There are so many unique tools with this kit, that she keeps surprising me with what she can create. If you're into trying new cooking techniques and add a little flare to your presentation I would highly recommend this.

It's kinda fun
I've only tried a few caviar things so far. Been reading the recipe book and looking stuff online. One disappointment is that there are things that I dont have that are mentioned in the recipe book. Like maltodextrin. I bought some, I dont know if its the right one. Also the pipettes are a one time use only if you use agar agar. They get clogged and are useless, So I imagine that is why there are more. Ill look for reusable ones online. Also the recipes are a bit vague. Missing some critical how to steps. Kind of have to augment with online videos and tutorials. But apparently not from this seller. It would be great if they had some online tutorials how to use the kit with way way more detail . the recipe book is very general.

Grear way to make plating food fun!
I love it! I'm a pastry chef and love taking desserts to a different level and think outside the box. These molecular gastronomy techniques are a great way to do just that.

Misleading words
The listing photos and the silver band on the box itself shows that it should come with 50 recipes for one box and 30 for the other. I reached out to the company, mmtum, to see if I was missing a dvd or booklet, they said: Not all of our products come with the book, only a select few are with the book or DVD, the rest are with instruction booklets that hold 2-3 recipes. Only products that come with the book have the book displayed in the Contents section along with an image of the book in the product images. Nowhere in the product description does it say that these products come with recipes. Please read carefully.Well, I read carefully, examined the physical product carefully, and it still says 50/30 molecular gastronomy recipes under Includes on each silver box band. Provided a photo of the box bands to show what I saw, even if the product's page here is edited/altered.

Amazing gift!
I bought it as a gift, so I personally haven't used it, but it came in perfect state, the person loved it and seems very fun to do.

75% great
I was very excited when I received this, as I had never made anything like this stuff. Looked it over, nothing seemed to be out of place, everything looked good... Until I went to try to make something. In the cocktail kit, I pulled out the box of calcium lactate to start a recipe... and saw the packet said "xanthan gum." No problem, I just grabbed the wrong box... But the box said "calcium lactate." I looked at the packets in the XG box, and they all said "xanthan gum," just as the ones in the CL box did. I went ahead and checked the other boxes to be sure. The soy lecithin was in these plastic baggies (I assume that is what it is, never having used it before...). When I checked the contents in the cuisine kit, everything was correct, including sealed and marked packets of soy lecithin.I went on here to see what I could do. My options involved returning the entire kit for either refund or replacement. Either that or I make do with ingredients I don't have (which I paid for). It seems silly to return the entire thing, when it is only one issue that seems like it could be easy to take care of, and the other kit has them. But it is not what was ordered.
