Best bag of cow ears so far.---Not so good anymore
Ok, so these don't smell very nice, but I didn't expect them to. Dogs certainly love the smell. This bag was the most value for my money that I have found yet. All ears were good sized with different shapes. A couple were smaller then the others but even the smallest were 4 or 5 inches. My blue healers favorite treat are cow ears and she loves these. No side effect of diarrhea either like some I've bought. They also seem to last her longer than others we have tried. Most others, she will finish off in a couple hours or less. Usually much much less. But these, she will chew on for a while, save it, and chew on later. Perfect for heavy chewers. Will buy again. Do recommend. Update as of 12/2023 I am not happy with my most recent order of these ears. IF there were actually even 16 pieces in the bag, they were badly sized. There were only a couple I would consider a decent size and they were only 3 inches long and 2 inches wide. Most were a couple inches long and maybe 1 inch wide. I have cancelled my next order of these. I am pretty disappointed. I always raved about this product, but now I cannot. Maybe I'll try again in a couple months.

My dog covets these
I have a rough collie (think Lassie), and he simply LOVES these. They are a little on the large size, but I know he won't try to ingest them whole, like he does with so many things. If it's way too big, a good set of clean tin snips can divide it. He likes to try and hide them, much like a bone...but he's not real good at comouflaging it. It can have a tendency to get slimy if he doesn't finish it right off, but not near as bad as the "bovine kneecaps". I have to limit his "ears" to maybe once a week, because it will make his stool loose after he eats one....they are a special treat for him, and I know he won't get into issues with a bone splintering.

Carefully evaluate whether 'subscribe & save' is for you.
My dog can no longer chew bones (her favorite activity) because she has broken and cracked her teeth. I wanted her to have something she could enjoy, and found these. She loves them! She can hear me rustle the bag, comes running and knows to run outside to enjoy her prize. As a bonus, I have not noticed a strong smell (save me from hooves) and if I am going out I don't mind her chewing these inside. The one star off is for the following: After testing them out, I decided to "subscribe and save". These can be pricey, so I'm for saving where I can. However, when ordered extra because I had none and was taking my dog out of town , I bought additional rather than move the subscription date. What a difference! When I first bought them most of the ears were large. The subscription ears are noticeably smaller and more curled. Ordering as a one time order most of the ears were huge again! Naturally, she takes longer to chew the large ears, and they provide diversion for a longer time. I'm going to test this theory, and if I'm right, cancel my subscription and buy à la carte. But I will continue to buy. I'm glad I found something that makes my dog happy. The photo shows the larger ears...sorry no subscription ears for comparison, because my dog will eat them all no matter what size.😂

My dog's love these I cut them in half tho. My dog's are small and compete for possession. Cutting in half lets then eat the whole thing tho small. Good value

Never again... these are ridiculous
I'm telling you if this were not so pathetic, it would be laughable. At first, I thought to myself... this looks like they left their 4 year olds in charge during a bathroom break to fill up the bags with the correct number of ears. But then I realized, that even a four-year-old would inherently know, beyond any doubt, that this is wrong. Wrong on so many levels. The deal was a bag of (16) ears along with a picture allegedly depicting a classic example in terms of size in support of the description. Funny, nowhere in the written description nor in the product pictures, did I see an advertised example of an 'assortment' of ears, anywhere from 2" to 6"! No but, that is what is being sold with a straight face whilst they go about as though this is an acceptable business practice, fill a bag with swept up product that fell to the floor during production is what comes to mind. Well, that works for a while if you want a one and done customer, a customer that never returns because oddly enough, customers want to be treated respectfully, not like they've just been played. Treat them right, sell them what is advertised, nothing else and, if you do that and stand behind your word and your product, you will have a happy customer. Happy customers return. Again. And again, especially when it is a product that affects their beloved furbabies. These pitiful little 2 inch to maybe 3 x 2 inch ears are so small, my dogs could swallow them whole and choke right from the beginning (that is, if I were irresponsible enough to offer them at that size). All but about 4 of them were of a size where I normally take them away and toss because, at that size, they are no longer safe to be inside their mouth. These quite small ears appear to either have been pre-sliced before drying or, ears of a very, very young animal indeed so, there's also that...

Huge Inconsistency Between Bags
I was pleased with the first bag of Water Buffalo ears I received. It’s the bag pictured on the left with the 5 remaining ears from it laying on top. ALL ears from this bag are over 5.5” long. They were big and thick enough to occupy my chewer for a little while. I just received the bag on the right and literally opened it to count how many ears were inside because it was only 1/3 to 1/2 full and I couldn’t see how it could actually contain 16 ears (based on the size of ears that came in my previous bag). Sure enough, when I dumped the 16 ears on the counter they were ALL tiny and much thinner in comparison. Only 1 out of 16 is over 5.5” long. My dog will snap these apart in a second and swallow them. 2nd bag is NOT good value for the money. I understand if I had received bags that had a large range of sizes within the bag as animals and their ears are different sizes. But, to receive a first bag with all very large ears and then purchase a second with all very small ears is disappointing and I will not be buying these again. Feels like I got bait-and-switched. (2nd photo shows 4 of the small “new” ears laying on top of 4 of the larger “old” ears for comparison sake)

Golden loves the the treat!
My golden has skin allergies so I’m careful about what we choose to feed him and products used to bathe him to keep his coat and tummy healthy. These chews are great , just enough of a fun 10-15 min chewy treat for him to enjoy. They are thin, palm size , no significant smell and he has no problem digesting them. I give him no more than 1-2 ear chew treats a week.

My dog loves these as much as expensive pig ears.
First time buying these, and my dog REALLY likes these! She's a 6 year old, 60lb, Australian Shepherd/Blue Heeler, with good teeth, maybe slightly overweight. I usually get pig ears, raw hide, milk bones, and she likes all of those equally.. Now she has a new type treat. I wanted to try these because they're MUCH cheaper than pig ears! They aren't greasy, have lots of protein (81%), and low fat (1%). The only downside is the thickness. They're the same size length & width, but half as thick of a pig ear.. But still takes her the same amount of time to eat one. They haven't changed her BM's either way, thicker or runny, or any throw ups.. So she's digesting them good. And last thing, the package says its a 16 count, but I got 23 of them. I think it goes by weight in the bag. I put up a picture of the bag, and her enjoying one. I will recommend these to anyone I know, and will definitely buy again.
