The Pilot G-2 is BY far the best pens you can get under 20 bucks a piece. the writing is very smooth and flowy the ink life is great! Super dark ink without bleeding through even thin paper. They have a great grip to them and they feel sturdy!

What can I say except these are Pilot Gel pans and I like them! I'm a calligrapher and I'm fussy about my pens. And yes, you can still do calligraphy with a narrow point pen. I purchased these because I prefer 0.5mm tips while my husband likes the .38mm tips. I get good control with the shape of the pen itself. I like the finer guard sleeve on the lower end and the curves of the shaft of the pen fits well enough so you don't get writer's cramp so easily. Do young people even know what writer's cramp is these days? They mostly use keyboards I think. Anyway. Pilot makes a good pen and if you want a gel pan, Pilot is your choice. I like them, they fit me perfectly, aren't too heavy and it's rare to have one skip.

.5 pens are so aesthetic, IT IS WONDERFUL, you should def buy it

As a novelist and illustrator, I'm a natural born pen snob. I'm specific about ink type, tip size, barrel shape, you name it. I strictly use Gelly Roll Moonlight pens for art, and Pilot v7 and v5 pens for drafting. I wanted something a little more comfortable for journaling and my personal planner, and remembered having a set of colored G2 pens that I loved back in high school, so I gave these a shot.They are above-average pens. They're more comfortable to hold for long periods of time than a V5. But they're not quite stellar enough to give you that, "Oh my God, it writes so SMOOTH!" type of feeling. I have some minor issues with slight skipping, making my handwriting look messier. The colors are a bit dull, compared to other basic black/blue/green/red assortments. They're still good, better than 98% of the pens I've ever tried. I'll still use them on days when my upping my word count is more important than writing very neatly. They're just not quite AS amazing as I feel they used to be.
