Lesson for noobie home mechanics. Dont buy cheap gaskets
I bought this for the valve cover gasket. I have a 06 VW GTI and this gasket was too thin to fit in the groove of the valve cover. I bought a thicker and more expensive Felpro gasket kit that fit snug in the groove and made the rest of the job a breeze.Even if you could get this cheap thin gasket in the cover correctly and it sealed, I wouldn't trust it to last long.
