Fantastic Tool .. Worked Like A Charm. Not Often you’ll need it, unless this is your Nine to Five. But if you’re a DY Self Guy .. This will save you money and headache.

Not required, but saves time and frustration. Works well.
This isn't a required tool, but it saves lots of time and frustration. With this tool, I was able to swap out my dryer boot in 20 minutes. You could get the springs to go with screwdrivers and needle nose pliers, but this makes it instant and easy. Fits perfectly, and compatible with many different brands.

Don't fight it, just buy it
Definitely worth it if you're working with the spring clamps on a washer. My husband and I were convinced we could get it on with pliers, but after struggling again and again we finally broke down and bought this tool. Once we had it, we popped out on in seconds.

Worked perfectly for replacing the rubber boot in my Kenmore Front-loading washer
This spring expansion tool worked perfectly for replacing the rubber boot in my Kenmore Front-loading washer. There are two spring locks that secure the boot to the washer. The spring lock which is attached to the outside lip of the boot can be removed and replaced with a screw driver if you are careful. There are videos on the internet which show you how to do this. However the spring lock which is attached to the inner lip is much more tricky. I think it is close to impossible to remove and replace it without this tool. So if you need to replace the boot, make your life easier and get this spring expansion tool.
