Sturdier than it looks!
When I was taking the pieces out of the box, I was a little concerned that because the backboard was thin, it would not hold up well when I had it fully assembled. Putting it together was a breeze, although I did not follow the directions exactly as outlined as I felt it was better to place the pegs in before removing the adhesive strips. All in all, it only took me well under 10 minutes to do the first one (as I read directions before beginning), but the second one took me about 5 minutes. I do feel it was a bit pricy, but I am very happy with the quality and the way the product looks (I like the butcher block finish!) and both are serving their purpose. I might buy a couple more now that I know they are good size cube and the assembly was super simple! Very happy!

The Cheapest Made Thing I've ever received from Amazon
I don't write reviews often, and felt that this needed to be said, but this is the cheapest made thing I've received or used from Amazon, and that says a LOT. I'm all for the dedication to using recycled goods in attempting to build and maintain shelving. On paper (recycled or not) it sounds like a good idea. Unfortunately, it's everything else where these organizers fall apart, both literally and figuratively. The pieces of this storage cube are all made up of recycle paper stacked together and condensed to be lightweight and similar to how IKEA uses cork board. However, when attempting to connect these items to the other, you are given small dow rods (similar to IKEA) and a set of double sided tape to bind everything together. It works about as well as a student science fair setup. The double sided tape does not stick well, and the company should have used the Heavy Duty Mounting Tape that is sold by 3M. Instead, they're using the poster board tape that barely holds print outs to poster board, let alone a something that is supposed to be stackable and "hold a small amount of weight." There are no screws in this disaster of an organizer, and with the limited amount of support elsewhere, there really should be. The pieces don't lock together, so there's always going to be a gap between the sides so you will hear a creek in the poster board tape that they use every time something is put into the storage. If you're thinking about using this with the walls of the storage pointed up, don't even think about it, or you will see the sides split apart every time you put something in it. In closing, if you want something with better support and cheap, a cardboard box might have better consistency. If you want something a little bigger with more support, just make the order to IKEA. Otherwise, this is the cheapest made thing I've ever purchased on Amazon, and it shows.

Great/versatile storage that looks presentable
I love these storage units, less expensive than most others I have seen, but not cheaper than actual bookcases for the same amount of space (although much more versatile than bookcases). They are versatile and stackable and I buy black fabric drawers to go in them which really finishes off the look. If you look closely you can see they are not real wood, but I think they look sooo much better than any other storage cubes I've seen. With the fabric drawers, you pretty much cannot tell that they are not real wood. Most of the other storage drawers I saw were in odd colors, not as easy to put together, and even more expensive. I like these because they are 1) Recycled material 2) Very easy to put together 3) Sturdy 4) Look good 5) Can be stacked any way you want 6) with some fabric drawers you can use them instead of a dresser I have used these to cover most of a wall (4 tall x 10 wide) in one bedroom for clothing storage , stuff storage, etc. Also used a stack of 6 drawers (2 wide x 3 tall) put together as a TV stand. And used another stack of 2 x 2 for a keyboard stand. Perfect for kids rooms of any age, college kids, and I might even organize my closet with these as well.

Easy, affordable storage. Just get some wood glue.
The light weight material is basically a lightweight, less durable version of pressboard (It's pretty much very strong cardboard). The design is basic, and is pretty much a cube shelf. Not exactly pretty to look at, but functional. I personally stack 3 of them together and put them next to my bedroom door shelf where I put like my keys, my wallet, my change, my mail, and other things that I would look at later. And for that, it's functional. I wouldn't recommend stacking too many heavy things on it like books and whatnot by its own merit, but it's a place to put things. I would say that the easy assembly is both a good thing and a bad thing. It is very easy to put together (Took me like 2 minutes form out of the box to make it) but it IS held together by tape as advertised, so if you're relying on it to stay together, then no, it's going to come apart very easily. Knowing this, I personally bond it with lines of gorilla glue to reinforce it, then it has better durability. It's easy, cheap material that is functional and simple, nothing more, nothing less.

I didn’t expect much for the price but didn’t think it would be made of cardboard!! The packing in the box was the same material. If I didn’t need it for a brief display today I would have returned it. Instead, it will be going out to the curb for recycling with the rest of my cardboard!! For the same price I could have gotten a similar product made of pressed wood / fiberboard!!!! If I could have given it 0 stars I would have as that is what it deserves!!!

This product literally took me less than 5 minutes to assemble. Such a well tought product! A little bit on the pricey side since it is recycled paper, and yet solid enough (i sat on one for a while to test the charge 180lbs). I would buy it again, but would wait for a sale.
