Conversations with God Neale Donald Walsch 4 Books Collection Set - Awaken the Species

This book found me. Roll your eyes. I would! But, it’s still true. I was going through the darkest professional and personal period of my life - feeling the stone hard bedrock of “rock bottom”. A place I would never have imagined my successful life to have ever reached. As a rational scientist, a long time atheist and occasional wonderer in matters-unknown based on experiences, I was a bit surprised when another scientist friend of mine recommended this book when I needed it. He said, “It’s not what you think.” Honestly, I had no thoughts on it. With a title like, “Conversations With God”, I didn’t expect it to be literal. I’ll go a little into “what I think” of it now. But, at the time I needed it, this book … god I hate to say this … “saved me”. During that dark period, I had started taking Xanax just to function. My anxiety and depression had hit levels that I’ve never encountered before. And I am certainly someone that most people would consider as having a lot of grit. So, these feelings were profound. What was more profound were the understandings provided by this book. As I read it, my anxieties, fears and depression disappeared. As I read it! Not over a long period of time. How can this be? There are deep philosophical truths in this series of books that I have not read anywhere else, but certainly felt within me, even before picking up this book. It covers Who You Are, the purpose of life, true Love (not this nonsense we’ve been taught to believe) and the truths about God (again, not this nonsense we’ve been taught to believe). On that last point, now here’s where I’ll provide a bit about “what I think”. It reminds me of the story “Life of Pi”. In telling his story, Pi started it with “It’ll make you believe in God.” By the end of the story, you have a choice to believe in the horrors people do to each other, or to believe in grandness of God. It’s more like you will “want” to believe in God. Similarly, the conversations in this series, the “truths” that are revealed - people can deny and debate them - provide a philosophical and/or spiritual framework you can adopt to live your life to its fullest. By reading this series, you will want to believe in God, because he/she is not the narcissist, insecure, vengeful god of religious myths. If you understand true Love, you will understand this. And you will have permission to believe in God regardless of how skeptical you are, because God doesn’t require anything of you except for you to be whoever you choose to be. You can choose to live your life using this framework, or you can choose a different one. But, this one makes the most sense for people who want to live full, joyful, loving lives. I am absolutely in awe with these books! They provide a perspective. I never would have thought of myself! They're very intriguing and interesting and I'm so glad I bought them!

I love these words, the wisdom, the teachings. I grow so much when I read these and feel so connected to source. It’s a fun dialogue that you can get lost in for sure.

Don’t believe anything you read, try out the concepts described in these 4 books and see if it works for you. Your journey with God is yours alone to experience. Don’t live by some one else’s experiences with God, live your own!

I am only on book 2, but I wish everyone would read these. It's digestible and feels important without feeling self-important if they makes sense. I am spiritual and was prior to buying these, but these strengthen and broaden my sense of self, God, and my self in relation to others. This is the only set of books I've ever bought. So many subject are touched upon so far like education, organized religion, geopolitical systems, sexuality and so much more. Lastly, love the dialogue format.

Managed to get all 4 books in one order at a great value. Delivery is long, about 3 weeks but worth the wait. Slight dents due to shrink wrapping, survived shipping from U.S. Btw I already started on the ebooks before the books arrived and definitely a life changing reads.

I read the first one many years ago and love the information! And is super excited able to obtain the whole collection!!! The fourth book is from a different publisher and actually has larger fonts and looks very neatly done. I am very thankful for receiving all 4 books in excellent condition! Thank you!!
