SFC TOOLS Standard Jewelry Soldering Kit with Silver Solder Wire Kit-1750

Came in one day. Perfect and just what I needed! I read some other reviews about the soldering torch, but I think it's perfect. It heats the solder up quickly and effortlessly. Note that you have to buy your own butane.. I got mine at Walgreens. Otherwise this is a great kit! Only thing missing to get you work started is a jewelers saw and blades.. if that was included in the package then it would have been REALLY perfect.

Cons: 1, arrived with flex on the tortch package. 2, pickle powder arrived in a bag, not in a bottle as pictured. 3, brush is not as pictured either, instead of a mini brush that would actually be useful for jewelry soldering as pictured, they gave a big brush that’s useless and not only that, bad quality too all rusted when arrived. 4, honey block when heated with the flex gets stuck on the jewelry, when picking up jewelry after soldering, honey block broke apart where the jewelry sits and comes out in chunk. Very bad quality. 5, tortch heat not very strong, takes a long time to melt the solders, which turns the metal black from oxidation. Overall not a good set in my opinion.

Great starter kit. Everything is useful and good quality.

For a beginner on a budget, this kit is good. But the metal screen isn't rated for temps over 1,000°F. The screen pops in and out of shape when heated to a high temperature, causing my projects to go flying through the air, landing on, and burning things I'd rather not burn. So, I would absolutely not buy another one. The metal also flakes and scales, ruining any project that doesn't go airborne. And don't even get me started on the worst torch ever made.

Some of the kit was great quality but I had to buy solver solder because this one would not flow. I also didn’t love the flux, it got really hard and was awkward to work with compared to the dark one I had been used to. Overall the kit is a good value but be prepared to still buy more things you’ll need separately

HIGHLY recommend for anyone starting out! everything you need, wished the flame worked a little better but still very nice

Doesn't work at all,the flame is not good,it's exactly like kitchen's lighters,if you expect a professional kit,this is not the right item for your purchase.

Works good. I had a ring that was too big and was able to cut it and resize to fit.

I was skeptical at first but it was really helpful and cheaper to order it as a set. It came with everything you would need to start soldering silver. Good stuff

The package arrived in good condition with all listed items except for the solder wire. I will be picking up some solder and gas tomorrow from a local supplier. After which I will be able to post a more detailed review of how everything performs.
